Morning Claire, Further to the email below please find requested information : Response to item 1
‐ Effects on adjoining land
We see no effects on adjoining land due to the low hours of operation and the types of activities
undertaken, which will mainly be contained inside the building, noise levels are a minimum due to the
low number of scouts / guides.
‐ Activities
‐ Existing building will be used by local scouts and guides for weekly meetings and scouting/ guides
activities,( these will be mainly conducted within the building), for youth members and occasional
meetings for group support committees.
‐ Traffic
All traffic movements are low and during the times of 6pm to 8pm, and due to the age of the scouts /
guides a majority of the traffic will be drop off and pick up
‐ Hours of operation
Scouts – Mondays 6pm to 8pm
Guides – Tuesdays 6pm to 8pm
‐ Light Spill
A majority of all activities will be undertaken within the existing building, daylight savings etc some
activities will be undertake outside with no light spill effects
‐ Number of people
Scouts 6 youth members with 4 scout leaders
Guides 10 youth members with 3 guide leaders
Response to Item 2
‐ We are requesting a waiver of carparking under Clause 52.06, due to the small number of members /
leaders using the site, all existing on street parking to be retained, some non formalise carparking can /
will be provided within the site mainly at the rear of the property, infront of the existing shed
‐ The former use of the site was the Avoca CFA building where vehicles would be stored and members
attend when needed, it was also used for weekly meetings
‐ The site is located within a residential area
