This wheel image illustrates the synthesis that forms the basis of the Human Design calculation and the chart.
The 360° are divided by the 64 hexagrams. This means that each hexagram occupies 5°37’30” of arc. A line therefore occupies 56’15” of arc. The Sun transits a line in under a day and all six lines in just over five and a half days.
The following four double pages show eight trigram groups that each begin in the Ji center. The pattern
of 16 hexagrams with their line degrees and minutes repeats through the four quarters (the double pages).
This index shows the correspondence of the astrologi-cal degrees and minutes to the hexagrams and lines, beginning at 13°15’00” Scorpio with hexagram 1. The first lower trigram group is Heaven. Each trigram group begins in a midpoint of a fixed sign and goes to the end of a mutable sign, where the next trigram group begins. This is at the cusp between mutable and cardi-nal signs that end at the next midpoint of a fixed sign.
