Inset: The Savoy, home of The Greats.
Welcome to The Greats Awards, taking place for the second year running
at the historic Savoy hotel in London, where, for the past 125 years, its very
name has stood for the best of everything - furnishings, food and, of
course, fabulous, glamorous guests! (Think Marilyn Monroe, Laurence
Olivier, Katherine Hepburn and Maria Callas to name just a few of the many
movie stars that are known to have stayed at this stunning hotel).
It's why it makes the Savoy the perfect venue for the gift industry's most
prestigious event, now in its 12th year, which celebrates the best gift
retailers in the UK.
It's a day of fine company, delicious food, great fun (thanks to our compere
and comedian Sean Collins) and flowers - the theme of this year's event.
Most importantly of all, is that the whole gift industry is here today -
fantastic gift retailers from right across the retail spectrum, as well as a
myriad of leading gift supplier brands.
We know it's going to be a 'blooming marvellous' event!

Progressive Greetings Live Where the world of greeting cards meets!
Mark Rees, DirectorPenmark Cards, Derby:
“So does PG Live work for us as small multiple? Firstly of course, there are the products on show
- from the best known to the array of new. We haven’t
room to order from them all in our shops, but it is vital to see what trends are coming through. Secondly, it is a great exhibition to make you feel part of a great industry, so it’s definitely worth the trip from Derby.”
Rowena White, Buying Manager- Cardshop & Party, Asda:
“It‘s our favourite card show because it’s dedicated to our industry, with a great choice of the best in class publishers at your fingertips plus some of the new up and coming designers all under one roof.
Tish BasSenior Card Buyer of Paperchase:
“My team and I always find PG Live a great way to maintain our relationship with existing suppliers, viewing new ranges and discussing developments face to face; it is
brilliant to have so many key publishers under one
roof. We also find the fair a great resource for unearthing new smaller suppliers with new and
exciting product.”
Paul Taylor, DirectorCardzone Ltd, Nottingham:
“It is really good to have all types of publishers under one roof and to visit an exhibition dedicated to cards. It is especially pleasing to see so many smaller, innovative publishers who are starting to make their mark in the industry, and it’sa great location, even though we are
based in the north, we tied this in
with a visit to Pulse last year,
which made it really
convenient.”
