Theory”

• The United Pentecostal Church does not believe that there are three distinct personalities in the Godhead• “Jesus only”• “Oneness holiness”

Their teaching

• “There is only one person in the Godhead – namely, Jesus Christ”• “We find, in their manual, in the

‘Foreword,’ their claim to have had an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the workers who began the movement”

• “In the year 1914 came the revelation on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ….”• The basis of their teaching is the

claim of a revelation from God

2 Pet. 1:3

• According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2 Tim. 3:16-17

• All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Jude 3

• Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
