What is Language?- is one of the many methods of human communication.- it may either be spoken or written.- it involves different stylesand techniques to successfullyconvey whatever message.

Imagery- it requires a lot of vivid descriptions.- it helps writing become clear andvivid.- it helps set the mood and theemotion about people, places, andcircumstances.

SENSORY IMPRESSIONS

Sensory Impressions- are what you call vivid or cleardescriptions.- these impressions should appeal tothe five senses that all humans have.- These impressions will help yourreaders relatewith you from any experience that you personally had.

KINDS OF IMAGERY

Visual

is a picture in words; somethingthat is concrete and can be seen.

is something that you can hearthrough your mind's ears.

ANALOGY

Analogy- it is comparing a certain situationto another situation that hasnothing to do with each other.- it is necessary for the readers tobe able to have a clearerunderstanding of the text.-it compares the relationship between two things orideas to highlight some point of similarity.- It is a way to clarify an idea or an unfamiliar concept bycomparing it to something familiar.

Examples:

1. Getting the chance to now you is as good as winning the jackpot in a game show.2. Living with you was as good as committing suicide.3. The pain that you have caused me is the fire to my very own hell.4. You became a thief in the night when you left without saying goodbye.5. I raised the white flag, because the responsibility was already becoming a burden to me.
