Message from the Chairman and Executive DirectorThe Foundation raises funds to support Seminole County Public Schools’ quest to ensure that today’s students become tomorrow’s productive citizens.
We align our funding priorities with Superintendent Dr. Walt Griffin’s ePathways vision. We know today’s students learn in different ways. ePathways ensures that students have an education pathway that best suits their learning style, personal interests and academic strengths.
Thank you to businesses and community members for investing in our students and educators and for making Education Work in Seminole!
Sincerely,
Brian FettigFoundation Board Chairman
Davia MossFoundation Executive Director

Raising Funds Education works when we do too. Together, we work to shape tomorrow’s productive citizens.
Putting donations to work for Seminole students and teachers.
Give One for the Kids Annual Giving Program1,800 school district employees gave $97,000 to support our students. Hundreds of businesses and individual donors also stepped up to give an additional $78,000 for the kids.
20th Annual Golf “FORE” Education Tournament is host to over 200 golfers and sponsors that have a stake in the quality of Seminole County Public Schools and the economic vitality of our community. The tournament raised $60,000 and approximately $900,000 since inception. Event proceeds support The Foundation’s many programs – providing backpacks and school supplies, classroom grants, and more.
17th Annual Arts Alive in SeminoleThe Foundation’s gala fundraising event brought the community together in support of arts education for the school district. Guests were treated to a showcase of the visual and performing arts by our students, as well as a student visual arts gallery. The event raised over $115,000, and has raised more than $1.2 million since inception. Proceeds were distributed to every school in the district to support music, theater, dance and visual arts programs.
• We bring real-world application and innovation into the classroom so that 20,600 students are better prepared for college and tomorrow’s workforce.
• When a child’s basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and safety are not met, that child cannot learn at the same rate as his/her peers. The Foundation funds programs that remove barriers for our high-need students. 10,800 at-risk students were supported – improving their sense of confidence, improving standardized test scores and increasing graduation rate of at-risk youth.
• Education reform is here and today’s educators have a tough balancing act to perform. We invest in training and professional recognition of 3,100 educators, support staff and volunteers because they drive our long-time A-rated school district.
Bridget Dycus, SCPS 2015 Teacher of the Year.

As a kid things were tough sometimes. Those challenges made it
hard for me to stay in school and do well. Thanks to some great
teachers and support along the way, it opened up my mind to
possibilities that I didn’t always think were available to me.
