We’re facing a new kind of energy crisis. This one is personal.
In a fiercely competitive global economy, companies feel compelled to get ever more from their people.
This relentless pressure exacts an insidious toll that is only now becoming visible. Productivity and sustainable performance are at the breaking point.
The symptoms are exhaustion, disengagement, distraction and burnout.
We need a better way of working.

Most individual and organizational development focuses on building skills and competencies.
We address the more fundamental issue of capacity – the fuel in people’s tanks that makes it possible to bring their skills and talents to life and perform at their best.
Capacity is the platform upon which any successful organization must be built.
We energize people and transform companies by harnessing the science of high performance.
our unique approach
thebig
ideaThere are 168 hours in a week. That number will never change.
Working longer hours is not a realistic option for most people.
Energy, however, can be expanded and renewed. In physics, energy is simply the capacity to do work.
More energy means more capacity, which makes it possible to get more done, in less time, at a higher level of engagement, with a better quality of life.
To fire on all cylinders we require four sources of energy:
time is finite. energy can be expanded and renewed.

We’re not meant to operate the way computers do
at high speeds, continuously, for long periods of time.
Human beings are physiologically designed to pulse between spending and renewing energy.
It’s our most fundamental need.
we transform people we train them to perform sustainably at the highest levels by more skillfully managing their energy across the four dimensions: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
leaders we teach them to become Chief Energy Officers by mobilizing, inspiring, focusing, directing and regularly recharging the energy of those they lead.
companies we help them to better meet the core needs of their employees, so they’re freed, fueled and inspired to bring the best of themselves to work every day.
what we do
peoplefuelDelivered inside companies and organizations, our core curriculum is designed to help individuals learn to systematically build, renew and more efficiently manage their four sources of energy – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
peoplefuel: sustainAs part of our commitment to driving behavior change that lasts, we also offer follow-up resources, including more individualized follow-up coaching, an online energy ritual tracker, and refresher courses. These tools help participants to design, implement, adapt and sustain the energy rituals they build, and to overcome the inevitable obstacles that arise along the way.
peoplefuel: trainOur train-the-trainer program enables companies of any size to engage their internal teams of trainers to effectively implement our peoplefuel curriculum on a larger scale, while still providing a custom, personalized experience for each participant.
leaderfuelOur leadership curriculum is aimed at teaching leaders how to help others manage their four sources of energy – focusing on giving them strategies to mobilize, recruit, inspire, focus, and regularly renew the energy of those they lead.
the energy project speaksWe offer 30 to 90-minute keynotes on a variety of topics related to energy management and its application to engagement, innovation, productivity and fueling sustainable high performance. Keynotes are an effective way to introduce large groups to the key concepts in our work.

“My leadership team at Wells Fargo went
through The Energy Project. We embraced
many of their practices aimed at increasing
our effectiveness through more focus on
exercise and renewal, eating differently,
better managing our meetings, and
focusing on one thing at a time rather than
multitasking. The Energy Project is really onto
