Scope of the e-KnoT project
• Increase competitiveness of Europe by developing high level skills through training, research and innovation transfer to industry
• Consolidation of a strong EGNSS knowledge triangle, i.e. a solid network for the creation of a critical mass involving the relevant actors in the three areas with the final objective of supporting the European economy development
Focus of the e-KnoT project
• Implements concrete actions and events for companies, students and professionals
• Consolidation of the links and initiatives beyond the project duration
• e-KnoT relies on concrete results of previous projects in the field of education in GNSS and educational initiatives already in place in Europe (e.g. ERIG, G-TRAIN, GENIUS)

The EGNSS Knowledge Triangle
• Strengthen the interaction between the areas of education - research - industry in Europe
Initiatives: Education - Industry
• Provision of scholarships to European and non-European students
• Co-funded grants to attend the Specializing Master in Navigation and Related Applications
• Internship grants
• Workshops in universities to promote the development of GNSS downstream apps (in cooperation with the European Satellite Navigation Competition)
• Professional Education Programme providing specialized GNSS training developed by academia towards professionals
Initiatives: Education - Industrye-KnoT Professional Training
• Ambitious program aimed at providing GNSS training to employees of industry, research centres and institutions
• Provision of 3-day free-of charge tutorials over 3 years (12 tutorials in total; next tutorial: November 22-24, 2016 at in Toulouse, France - registration deadline: October 21, 2016)
• Open to any employee coming from a company, an international/national institution or research center

• GNSS excellence weeks hosting the best scientific experts

• Possibility for young researchers to discuss, benchmark and get advice about their own research work by meeting some of the best non-European researchers in GNSS
• Includes seminars to students and researchers, as well as an interactive workshop
• 1st GNSS Excellence Week at UPC in January 2016 (2nd edition at ENAC in Nov 2016)

Satellite Navigation University Network (SUN)
• Founded in 2010 to link providers of Satellite Navigation University education with their expertise with each other, with students as well as representatives from industry and politics
