INTERNATIONAL FORCE FOR EAST TIMOR
The international force for East Timor (INTERFET) was lead by the Australia. They were the peacekeepers before the UNAMET arrived.
THE BLACKHAWK
The BLACKHAWK is a helicopter sent to East Timor by the Australian army. And were used to help the peacekeepers. They look like this
UNAMET
The UNAMET is a group of peace keepers in East Timor. Australia contributed in it and help them.
WHY DID EAST TIMOR GET INVADED?
Indonesia invaded East Timor because the Portuguese had a revolution at home that overthrew the Salazar regime, causing them to abandon their colonies (such as East Timor). Indonesia invaded since they wanted more territory and there were fears that a Communist government would emerge from the infighting in East Timor.
