JAG Kitchens has been a success

story since 1987. Our Directors set

out to establish an innovative local

kitchen business with an emphasis

on design excellence. As qualified

cabinet makers, the JAG Kitchens

Directors had a passion for quality and

premium craftsmanship. The vision for

JAG Kitchens is to provide a uniquely

South Australian owned product with

exclusive custom made joinery. At JAG

we take pride in providing the entire

package from design to manufacture,

to seeing the product installed in

the client’s home. JAG kitchens are

South Australia’s most highly awarded

kitchen company with accolades at

both State and National levels. As a

Designer’s comments:

Character filled, this beautiful

kitchen takes pride of place

in the client’s period home.

Heavily profiled doors, combined

with hand carved corbels and

turned posts authenticate the

look of this kitchen. The rich

contrasting granite benchtops

define the shape of the kitchen.

Set within the architectural décor

of yesteryear, a large mantel is

a grand feature and supports

the statement appearance of the

kitchen. Designed to cater for a

family home, it was important

to incorporate all of the modern

conveniences. Ease of access

to cookware of course, was of

prime importance.

Designer’s comments:

This new home is an

architectural masterpiece

overlooking Adelaide. We began

with timber, concrete and glass

which were used to create a

sense of elegance and warmth.

The placement of appliances,

including a wok burner, was

important. A longer than usual

4m island bench was given an

interesting finish by using varying

thicknesses of Corian for the

benchtops with a snark-nose

detailing. The retro-modern

aesthetic is continued through

the timber flooring. Other

standout features are the timber

cladding and a New York marble

splashback, compromising two

book-matched slabs.

Designer’s comments: With

timeless sophistication, this

kitchen is a pure vision of

traditionalism combined with

contemporary influences.

Designed with finger pull handles,

the cabinets maintain simplicity

in appearance. This illuminates

the textural features of the rich

Calcutta marble tops and splash

back. The space is deceiving. The

pantry is concealed behind a door

to reveal a preparation sink, bench

and fridge. Beautiful oak timber

floors are reflective of old Paris

and give this kitchen a supreme

elegance that will remain graceful

beyond its years.

Designer’s comments: This

kitchen is an oriental delight,

incorporating innovative details

and simple materials. The wide

kitchen island bench doubles as

a dining table, with provision for

under bench seating. Modern

finishes include contrasting

veneer and two pack cabinetry

along with dynamic glass

splashbacks. Architectural

finger pulls replace handles for

a streamlined look with easy

access. Lighting is integral to the

design with LED overhead and

under-cabinet lighting.

Designer’s comments: Sophisticated in appearance, laminate was the choice of material that brought this kitchen to life.

Textural interest was achieved by the strong horizontal lines of the Maison Oak and the different gloss levels of the Crisp White

Legato and Cavila Lini doors. Function was critical to the owners where access and storage needed to be at arm’s length to

make this space the perfect working zone. Simple, sophisticated and innovative.

Designer’s comments: With a carefully executed balance between contrasting and subtle finishes, this kitchen visually

makes its mark. Featuring beautiful textural surfaces and stunning decorative finishes, the space emanates a raw yet

sophisticated vibe consistent with the adjoining living areas. A contemporary, light filled space to satisfy gourmet cooking

adventures with family and friends.

Designer’s comments: The client’s love of books and the desire to showcase them meant that the books needed to be the hero of the space. Beautiful rich Fijian Mahogany was the material of choice. This, accentuated by traditional fluting to the columns and ornately carved corbels and ladder, make it a room to enjoy.

Designer’s comments: Individuality is the hallmark of a JAG kitchen and we welcome clients who are willing to make bold choices. Bold colour gives this design an edgy feel. Vertical wall panelled cabinetry offers ample storage, with soft timber elements providing contrast. The central benchtop includes a unique New York marble finish. A surprise feature is the camouflage walk-in pantry, leaving the design feeling crisp and inviting.

Designer’s comments: Architectural lines combined with natural timber, stone and colour are the fundamentals of what makes this a unique kitchen. Part of a renovation, the clients loved the thought of showcasing the structural integrity of the building by exposing walls and incorporating a kitchen with a combination of materials to create interest. American Oak frames support the base units and allow the texture of the porcelain looking marble tops to set a precedent in the room. The porcelain and concrete tops contrast against the red brick walls, and support the industrial look that the clients were after.

The entertaining lifestyle of the owners was the inspiration behind this innovative bar. Creating a commercial look in a domestic application meant the right materials needed to be selected. The texture of the onyx island and splash back was enhanced beautifully with backlighting creating a striking look. A great space for friends and family to entertain.

Simple lines and clever planning make this a study of sophistication. The desk design creates a sense of openness and provides the room with an uncluttered feel.

The client asked for a “modern residential version of an inner city cocktail lounge”. The result… a beautiful balance between dark and dramatic finishes and a fully functional working kitchen. The space visually packs a punch with rich marble surfaces and a stunning matte black pressed metal splash back.

Designer’s comments: JAG specialises in creating amazing cabinetry and this wine cellar gave us full scope to display our craftsmanship. It’s an impressive combination of natural timber and metallic two-pack paint. The large storage capacity has a commercial appearance, nestled behind a glass wall that towers over two storeys high. A spiral timber staircase is consistent with the home’s contemporary vibe. Warmth and sophistication flow as readily as the wine.
