• IMT is a public institute integrated in the indirect state administration. IMT acts on matters related to the Ministries of Internal Affairs, Planning and Infrastructure, Environment, and Sea, under the supervision and authority of the Minister of Planning and Infrastructure.
• IMT Mission: technical regulation, licensing, coordination, supervision and planning in the area of inland and inland waterway transport and related infrastructures, as well as in the economic sector of commercial ports and maritime transport.
• IMT actively collaborates to define the objectives and guidelines for the implementation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) at national level. Of the various European initiatives linked to ITS, in which IMT actively participates, and in particular those with relevant interest to the ITS directive (2010/40 / EU), the following can be highlighted:
– Coordination in the implementation of the Delegated Acts; – Coordination and leadership in the implementation of the Portuguese National Access Point; – Coordination in the implementation of Datex Nodes in Portugal for the exchange of information between Traffic Control Centers; – Participation in SCOOP, MedTis, ArcAtlantique, EU EIP Platform; – Coordination and leadership of the Portuguese ITS Candidature 2016 – C-ROADS Portugal.

• CEF CALL PROJECT • Main Objectives
• C-Roads Portugal consists in the deployment of 5 C-ITS macro pilot cases, in the
Atlantic Corridor in Portugal, covering relevant sections of the core network and comprehensive network and of its two urban nodes.
• Combined with the testbed pilot cases, the project will also develop a study aiming for the National large scale deployment of C-ITS services, notably Day-1 services and, selected, Day-1,5. This study will provide the framework to assess the C-ITS Services, its overall impacts and benefits, while addressing its long term viability, cost-efficiency and governance and business models.
• Setting Up the NAP • Key Project of the C-ROADS PORTUGAL
• The NAP is linked to the expected aproval of the C-ROADS PORTUGAL;
• C-ROADS PORTUGAL, will provide the means to setting up the NAP in Portugal;
• The vision is to implement an Integrated Traffic Information System (SIIT), and create the Portuguese Data Sharing Backbone, paving the way for the implementation of the Portuguese National Access Point for Action B, C and E….and?

How2Go
• Objectives • To contribute for the 2020 objective of seamless
multimodal door-to- door travel defining the measures necessary for further integration of different passenger transports.
• To provide existing public transport data accessible in interoperable European data format via national access points (NAP) and the direct linking of different local, regional and national multimodal travel information services.
• To promote the development of ITS for interoperable and multimodal scheduling information and other services that will ensure the realization of a robust and efficient European transport system according to relevant European legislations and standards.

How2Go
• Activities planning and deliverables
How2Go Activities Main Results Act. 1. A Stakeholder map identifying and characterizing public and private stakeholders directly and indirectly affected by the project;
Act. 2 To adapt and extend NAP to access and exchange of multimodal travel information in the European standard NeTEx including data interfaces/data model and " discovery/ search and browse" functionality.
To develop a prototype using NeTEx-enabled NAP for validation and analysis of the different functionalities
Act 3. Static local, regional and national multimodal travel information of existing public transport data from the defined corridor will be provided in European data format/exchange protocol (translation tools). Tools to empower the different stakeholders to collect and exchange useful data for planning, re-planning and service operation including a set of key performance indicators to benchmark service performance. Definition of the national NeTEx profile - a set of decisions as to how NeTEx is to be used by the stakeholders. Two pilots will be developed to validate the different facilities, using the INSPIRE model (Directive 2007/2/EC).
Act 4. Development of a Multimodal Journey_Planner for travel information services that connect/ link the Lisbon - Aveiro - Porto TEN-T corridor, including Lisbon and Porto urban nodes, including a 3rd pilot to test and validate its operation. A 4th pilot to contribute for the POC ( Proof of Concept) of further deployment of multimodal travel information services across the Union, will also be developed
Act 5. Project management including reporting, risk management, control of activities progress, user support and training, knowledge dissemination
will contribute to accelerate the development, deployment and interoperability
of ITS across the European Member States:
• providing seamless multimodal door-to- door travel, defining the measures necessary for further
integration of different passenger transports while creating framework conditions to promote the development and use of ITS for interoperable and multimodal scheduling information, and other services that will ensure the realization of a robust and efficient European transport system according to relevant applicable legislations and standards
• supporting the full implementation of NeTEx at the level of local transport authorities and transport operators along the core TEN-T network including Urban Nodes
• extending the national access point (NAP) , in phased implementation from road to traffic data, allowing discovery, view and download of relevant data and services in a user-friendly and co-ordinated manner
• Paving the way for the provision of EU-wide real-time information services, enabling the Next Generation of Intelligent Transportation Systems
