Dear Friends:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of THE DALE WARLAND SINGERS, I want towelcome you to the kick-off event for this, our twelfth season. "Singing,Sipping, and Serendipity" is just what the name implies: a light-heartedevening devoted to comradery, refreshment and, of course, excellent choralmusic. During the course of the program you will be given the opportunityto purchase season tickets and recordings and to bid on a chance to "becomeDale War land" -- if only for a few moments. I invite you to take advantageof everything this evening has to offer.

Those of you who have been long-time supporters of THE DALE WARLAND SINGERSwill be pleased to note that this season promises to reinforce our reputationfor artistic excellence and diversity of programming. Concert repertoirecombines selections from the masters (Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Monteverdi, Orff)with recent scores by today's stars (Argento, Paulus, Schuman, Zaimont.) Forthose of you who are more recent acquaintances, please conside~ purchasingseason tickets and attending our concerts. I feel confident in predictingthat you will learn what the rest of us have known for eleven years: this isa group of incredibly talented singers led by a very special conductor. Itis a joy to support their talents.

Our concerts, recordings and radio broadcasts have touched millions of peopleover the years. I hope that we touch you tonight and that you give us thatopportunity again in the future. Until then, enjoy!

Sincerely,

Directors
