Who is it for?Why do they invent

this?The LifeStraw® is mainly for those who lives in developing countries or deserts such as Sahara. The location they live in is lack of fresh water, what they can drink is groundwater. However, there are many viruses, and bacteria in groundwater, and it’ll cause diarrhoea. Nearly 1.5 million children died due to the diarrhoea; it killed more young children than AIDS, malaria, and measles combined. To solve this problem, a Swiss industry called Vestergaard Frandsen® develops their new products, LifeStraw®.

How does LifeStraw® improve their qualities of living?

LifeStraw® can filter the viruses and bacteria because it has four purifiers. The people living without clean water can use it to cleanse the dirty water as well as stop viruses and bacteria from getting into their bodies. Thus, the number of people who died of diarrhoea will decrease.

Beads filled with iodine

The iodine kills parasites and 99.3% of bacteria and viruses.

Granulated active carbon

Not only does it improve the smell and taste of the water, but filter out any remaining parasites.
