Role of the New England Regional Council

• Advise the Vice President of the New England Regional Office on matters related to College Board programs and services, and assist the Vice President in setting priorities within the region

• Establish standing committees as may be necessary for the conduct of the business of the Assembly

• Prepare the agenda for the Annual Meeting of the Members of the New England Regional Assembly

• Take any actions between annual business meetings which are appropriate to achieve the objectives of the Regional Assembly

• Review the regional governance plan and its operation once every three years and propose revisions as needed

• Participate in two council meetings per year, the Regional Forum, and the Regional Forum Program Planning Committee

• Nominate candidates for regional and national positions

• Identify recipients for assembly awards• Assembly Recognition Award• Dr. Carlene Riccelli Leadership Award

Role of the Financial Aid Division Advisory

Committee (FADAC)

• Provide a forum for the consideration of policies, practices, and programs designed to help students and families to prepare to meet the costs of postsecondary education

• Support institutions, agencies and organizations in the equitable and efficient administration of student financial aid programs

• Participate in two FADAC meetings, the Regional Forum, and the Regional Forum Program Planning Committee

• Identify recipient of the Jolene G. Mitchell Service Award

• Comprised of Regional Council, FADAC, and ADAC members as well as others who are interested in participating

• Plan the New England Regional Forum

• Develop, organize presenters, and moderate Regional Forum sessions

• Identify Sunday’s opening session and Tuesday’s plenary session themes and speakers

• Participate in two spring planning meetings
