October’s After Hours
Thank you River Lily Inn Bed & Breakfast Without doubt, Polly & Art always host a great “After Hours” in true Italian style. There is always plenty of good food, drinks and Art entertains us with music.
It’s no doubt they are touted as being one of the best Inns in the area and always have great reviews on Trip Advisor.
They opened 11 years ago and immediately joined three chambers of commerce and became involved in this community.
Polly will be doing her famous teas twice a month, so if you want a special treat or a special gift for someone, give Polly a call at 386-253-5002.
October’s “Quarterly Breakfast” Thank you John Graham Despite the down pour of rain and the heavy traffic, there were over 40 people who braved the weather to hear John speak. John gave such an informative presentation, that many of us who have lived in Volusia for many years learned much more about Halifax.
John mentioned in it’s 90 years of operation, they never closed their doors. He also mentioned about the excellent medical doctors that have joined staff over the past few years. He compared the care at Halifax to the many well known Hospitals like Mayo and said there is no reason to seek treatment elsewhere.
Some of us have not needed to visit the hospital recently; a lot has changed over the years and you are invited to stop by for a tour. While I listened to John talk, these words came to mind. “Serving patients with the medical experience of famous far away hospitals with the care and heart of a local home-town hospital.”
Happy 90th Anniversary Halifax Health!
Reservations for 2019 “After Hour Hosts” are now being accepted … call Rose at the chamber and say “I ‘d like to host an “After Hours” next year and showcase my facility to our members!”
