FEAR NOT How do people find hope in the face of suffering and death? That is the ques-tion addressed by today’s scriptures. We hear of the sufferings of Jeremiah and the Psalmist. We hear of the death that “reigned from Adam to Moses” (Romans 5:14). We hear of the fears of the Twelve as Jesus sends them out into the world to preach and heal. Through all this tribulation one mes-sage rings out loud and clear—“Do not be afraid!” The God who saved Jeremiah and the Psalmist and Jesus is fully present to save us through the gracious gift of Jesus Christ. We have nothing and no one to fear.

¡NO TENGAN MIEDO! ¿Cómo es que las personas encuentran paz frente al sufrimiento y la muerte? Ese es el mensaje de las Escrituras de hoy. Escuchamos

el sufrimiento de Jeremías y del salmista. Escu-chamos de la muerte que “reino desde Adán has-ta Moisés” (Romanos 5:14). Escuchamos de los miedos de los Doce cuando Jesús los envió a las periferias para predicar y sanar. En medio de toda esta tribulación hay un mensaje que suena fuerte y claro: “¡No tengan miedo!” El Dios que salvó a Jeremías y al sal-mista y a Jesús está plenamente presente para salvarnos por medio del extraordinario don de Jesucristo. No tenemos nada y a nadie a quien temer.

EUCHARIST DAY JULY 1ST, 2017 We will celebrate this feast instituted by St Hannibal after the 7:00 pm Mass with all night Adora-tion. All are invited and welcome! Saint Hannibal introduced Eucharist Day in 1886. Saint Hannibal wanted the orphans, the poor and the religious groups to understand the greatness of the gift of the priceless treasure of Je-sus present in the Blessed Sacrament, a day to be worthy of remembrance. Therefore Saint Hannibal began excit-ing the children’s holy anticipation by means of pious industry. Teaching the importance of the com-ing event and exhorting faith, love and desire for Jesus. To achieve this, some verses were set to music: Heavens of heavens, unfold, Descend on us our delight…It was a very loving call, so many innocent, humble souls sang it to draw Jesus down into their midst. By divine disposition, July 1st, 1886 was chosen for the event. The day was unforgettable. The expectation of this day had lasted two years in the planning, so the celebra-tion had to be long. This was the origin of Eucharist Day on July 1st.

DIA DE LA EUCARISTÍA 1o. DE JULIO 2017 Vamos a celebrar esta fiesta instituida por San Aníbal después de la Misa de las 7:00 pm con Adoración Nocturna. Todos están invitados y bienvenidos! San Aníbal introdujo el Día de la Eucaris-tía en 1886. San Aníbal quería que los huérfanos, los pobres y los grupos religio-sos comprendieran la grandeza del Don del inestimable tesoro de Jesús presente en el Santísimo Sacramento, un día digno de recordación. Por lo tanto, Santo Aníbal comenzó a excitar la santa anticipación de los niños por medio de la piadosa indus-tria. Enseñando la importancia del aconteci-miento que viene y exhortando la fe, el amor y el deseo de Jesús. Para lograr esto, algunos versos se pusieron a la música:

Cielos de los cielos, desplegar, Descender sobre nosotros nuestro deleite ... Fue un llamado muy cariñoso, tantas almas inocentes y humildes cantaron para atraer a Jesús hacia abajo en medio de ellos. Por disposición divina, el 1 de julio de 1886 fue elegido para el evento. El día fue inolvidable. La expectativa de este día había durado dos años en la planificación, por lo que la cele-bración tuvo que ser larga. Este fue el origen del Día de la Eucaristía el 1o. de Julio.

KNXT, CATHOLIC TV The new KNXT has started and will be re-launched on the first week of October as part of the Catholic TV Network, in Cooperation with the Archdiocese of Boston.
