Bonner AmeriCorps:Most Common Mistakes
• Prohibited & inappropriate service placements and trainingsProcess: inadequate or ineffective training and monitoring of student reporting such as coding, logging hours, writing CLAs, watching for duplicates or errors, deadlines for when we will receive paperworkCommunication: need to read the communication and take action upon first reading; if programs have questions or need clarification, they should call or email the Foundation. Deadlines: too many schools miss deadlines for monthly logs & critical time-constrained paperwork like enrollment booklets, exit forms, change of status forms

• 100% BWBRS usageRegular monitoring and approvals of BWBRS every 2-3 weeks by Senior Intern and Bonner CoordinatorStudents lagging significantly in hours during those checks are sent reminder emailsStipends are tied to BWBRS so it’s not an option! They don't get stipends if hours aren't logged into BWBRS. We've never had a student opt to not receive stipends so that they don't have to log hours! The senior Bonner intern also works really hard to keep BWBRS up-to-date with programming and service opportunities to make logging hours as easy as possible for students.
