HOW DOES GDOTEA WORK?
• A member submits a resolution to his or her chapter. The resolution may concern issues to be presented to the Georgia General Assembly or issues to be handled within the Department by problem solving.
• The chapter votes on the resolution.• If the chapter approves the resolution, the
resolution is then sent to the State Office Secretary who forwards the resolution to the other chapters.
• The other chapters vote on the resolution.
HOW DOES GDOTEA WORK?
• The resolution and each chapter’s recommendations are sent to the Board of Directors.
• The Board decides whether the resolution should be presented to the GDOTEA Representative Assembly.
• The delegates to the Representative Assembly vote on the resolution. The Assembly meets annually around September at a location which rotates around the state.
• If approved, the resolution is then forwarded either to the Georgia General Assembly or handled through problem solving within the Department.
