PAMAR's mission is to share the rich cultural heritageof Latin America and the Latin American diaspora byshowcasing dance, film, music, literature, theatre,visual and performing arts representing or influenced by Latin American culture. PAMAR also provides increased exposure and performing opportunities for Latino artists.

Launched in 2006, the Latin American Cultural Week is an annual New York City wide festival which highlights Latin American dance, film, literature, music, theater, visual and performing arts.

In 2012 PAMAR started Celebración de la Cultura Hispana en Washington Heights, a special initiative designed to drive community building and economic development in northern Manhattan through the showcasing of world class Latin American cultural events produced in Washington Heights.
