It was very interactive.

Clear materials, reinforced what I've been doing so far.

Clear, concise.

What aspects of the training could be improved?

A little more time for non-practitioners to discuss.

For general professionals it was in depth enough, personally like bit more in depth about referral procedures and after care seen from college's perspective.

Knowledge of local area and issues.

More.

More group work?

More specific to this organisation?

How do you hope to change your practice as a result of this training?

Being more proactive with referrals.

More awareness.

Made me feel more confident approaching the issue.

Be more confident about dealing with any student who discloses self-harm to me.

More confidence.

Be more aware of students who self-harm and offer appropriate support.

Will feed into site specific training.

Small, incremental changes in approach.

What additional training would you like to have in the future?

Self-harm and older people.

Suicidal behaviour.

Case studies.

Not sure at this point.

Thanks!

I would have liked it to be 2 days long so we could study everything in more detail. But it was very good for the time allotted.

Being taught over a longer period of time. So we can also incorporate skills.

Can't think of anything else. Maybe handouts could be given before course starts.

Have it over 2 days - we didn't have time for the video.

How do you hope to change your practice as a result of this training?

Discuss the documents with team.

Setting boundaries; discussing PD diagnosis; managing expectations.

I will take this back to the practice and discuss with colleagues and patients.

Using techniques to discuss role more clearly.

Be more reflective; more confidence in diagnosis and managing PD.

Initiating discussion about possibility of personality disorders - being less daunted/fearful about doing this.

Will help with strategies for coping with discussing a diagnosis of PD.

Will talk to patients about possibility of PD and also roles.

I want to refer a group of patients who I think may have PD.

Much clearer about diagnosing PD.

To consider my "role" in managing PD patients and also help my trainees to do so also. Improved recognition of my PD patients.

To take this back to my registrars and to be more self-aware and monitor my Dr "righting" tendencies.

Less trying to always problem solve.

Practise some of the techniques. Be more understanding to patients with PD. Set boundaries.

I will try and define roles with the patient.

Developed some techniques in establishing own role with PD patients.

Apply learning to trainer-trainees' relationship as well as doctor-patient relationship.

Realise that dealing with those patients serves a purpose.

Reflect on PD dependency; discussion with registrar.

Be more open to patients - co-create more; be braver.

Have confidence in addressing this area with my trainee ( and I hope my patients!)

Better understanding on how to manage these patients.

What additional training would you like to have in the future?

In practice training.

Formal course on lone practice.

Maybe similar but in practice.

Our practice is engaging with PICT support sessions.

More!

More of the same.

More training on how to raise topic.

Regular refresher every couple of years.

More aware of my own responses to PD patients.

Study material.

To build on this - I would like to do the course.

Thanks, a really useful session.

Overall it was excellent - thank you!!
