You don't need to have a child at a school to become a governor, all types of people can become school governors No special qualifications are required, but you must be 18 or over on the date when you are elected or appointed and be willing to attend training Whats in it for you? Being a governor is both challenging and rewarding Children will benefit from your efforts You will learn new skills and work with people from a variety of backgrounds You choose to work in areas of interest such as finance, personnel, and strategic planning You will learn more about how the education system works What makes a good School Governor?
