PREP 2013 Information Evening
25th June 2012 -7.00pm
NATIONAL BUDDY DAY 2012 National Buddy Day will be held tomorrow,
Friday 1st June, an initiative from The Alannah and Madeline Foundation and NAB. The purpose of the day is to celebrate friendship and to raise awareness of
the issue of bullying, and to also raise funds to support The Alannah and Madeline Foundation’s Better Buddies framework which helps students that are starting school to feel safe, valued and connected to the school community. Students are invited to wear something purple, along with their uniform, whether it be purple socks, headband, hat etc. If students don’t have anything purple from home to wear they will have the opportunity to make something purple at school. Students will also be learning a ‘Buddy Handshake’ to celebrate the day! Look out Friday night– you will be learning the REAL Nilma handshake—shaking all weekend!!
NATIONAL SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY AND STUDENT WELFARE PROGRAM Nilma Primary has been successful in our application for this program. We have received a grant for $60,00 which will enable us to employ a Chaplain/Welfare worker at school for 2 days per week. This will be of great benefit to our school and community.

‘Step Into Prep ‘ - Prep Readiness Entry Program.
More detailed information will be sent to Kindergartens and advertised next week. If you know of any families please let us know
and we will send out some information.

have produced their own impressions of ‘Ned Kelly’ series. Student works are being displayed in the new building. Above works from Jessica Gilbertson, Caroline Dungey and Corey James.
