It offers a uniform PTFE thickness over a coated fiberglass substrate. It is compatible with all composite manufacturing processes at temperatures up to 600 degrees F. Available in 38" wide rolls/packages. Application #1587 is designed for vacuum bag lay-up composites and metal-to-metal bonding structures. #1587 offers exceptional tensile strength in both fill and warp directions. The fabric leaves a fine surface suitable for priming and secondary bonding. This product is suitable for use in direct food contact applications under 21 CFR 177.1550 (FDA).
