Pop princesses Clothes :pink, silver and baby blue, plus add-ons from Claire's Accessories.Music: Britney Spears, S-Club, Gareth Gates, Will Young, Atomic Kitten.

GothsGoths: (girls and boys) black clothes and lipstick, lots of hairspray.Music: Fear Factory, Marilyn Manson, The Cure.

Nu - metallers Goths: oversize rock-

band T-shirts, skateboards, three-quarter-length trousers.

Music: US heavy metal such as Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Blink 182.

Clothes: Extra large trainers and clothesMusic: Nu-metal (a mixture of rock and hip-hop)

Indie kidsClothes: Seventies clothes from charity shops. Straight, floppy hair. Cheap, casual just-got-out-of-bed look. Music: independent rock bands no one else has heard of.
