July 2017 Dear 8th – 11th graders, I would like to invite you to apply for the 2017-18 class of 4-H Teen Leadership Academy. The 4-H Teen Leadership Academy is a program designed to enhance leadership skills both inside and outside of 4-H. TLA will provide you with many opportunities to strengthen leadership skills and allow you to be an important part of your community’s positive development. The TLA program is a combined effort between five Lincoln Trail Area counties including Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue and Meade Counties. Eligible applicants must be incoming 8th-11th graders. Applications are reviewed and selected by area 4-H agents. Five applicants will be selected from each county to comprise a group of 25 4-H teens for the 2017-18 class. I hope you will consider applying for this rare opportunity. The TLA application can be found on our website at http://hardin.ca.uky.edu/. Below you will see the dates that have been set for the TLA meetings for the year. Transportation and school absence excuses will be provided for you. The application deadline is August 25th so don’t delay! Once the applicants have been selected, you will be notified and further information regarding TLA will be provided for you.
