The term ‘convergence’ is used to describe carriage of more than one type traffic’ across a network. That traffic can be voice, data, video, multimedia.

Over recent years, IT convergence technology has been expanded to encompass a large number of practical business applications that save time, money and streamline the ways businesses communicate within and outside of their organisation.

Voice, data, video and enhanced collaboration and management capabilities are converging on the desktop and via various mobile communication devices.

At the same time, the role of employees and their “workplace” are changing.
