Job Description – Manager / Lead – Product Development
As a manager / lead you will be responsible for-
Owning the development lifecycle of key components and enhancements to the product
Creating technology specifications from business requirements
Detailing the design to implementable code
Implementing the design as produce enhancements
Optimizing the performance of the platform through code and database refactoring
Building and managing a high performance team
Working alongside excellent group engineers, product architects and business owners on products
in the area of big data, simulations and high performance computing.
What are we looking for?
Essential Qualifications
BE / BTech in Computer Science or related field from premier institutes with excellent academic
record.
10+ years of industry experience. (Senior profiles for manager role)
Experience leading a team of software developers for an enterprise scale application.
Good knowledge in Java/ J2EE. This is a hands-on role. The person is expected to design and
debug if need be
Deep knowledge of technology core - Data Structures and Algorithms; Object Oriented Analysis
and Design
Good UNIX or Linux experience. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Practical experience in delivering multi-tiered and multi channel applications using html5, java
script, AngularJS, Bootstrap and CSS
Additional Qualifications
Experience with statistical packages like R or SAS
Master’s in computer science, operations research or statistics
Exposure and experience in big compute problems using Apache Hadoop and other emerging
open source tools for big data / HPC
Experience with scaling of large systems
Experience in product development
