research experience in design, synthesis, and purification of organic/ polymer materials from my PhD
research. For example, I participated with four teams of scientists from various organizations (UMASS
lowel, NREL, and KORNARKA) in the development of two dimensional thiophene based materials. This
Ultra-high performance organic photovoltaic cellproject was founded by Defense Advanced Research
Projects Agency (DARPA).
In addition, the topic of my Mastersthesis, Development of characterization method for synthetic
polymershas prepared me for the chemist positions posted. Specifically, I developed a new technique
using a temperature gradient to characterize and to purify synthetic polymers.
As an industrial researcher at Samsung SDI Co., Ltd., I was responsible for new product development
which I conducted from the initial research phase to the successful commercialization of the Organic
Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs).
