Both posters feature the main batman symbol, a bat, representing this daring character Batman. This is done to attract the audience’s attention as this logo is well- known and will appeal to Batman fans and viewers that enjoy this type of film. Having the same logo/background adds regularity and ensures that the audience automatically are aware of who this is when they see the logo. The posters both feature the release date of the film. This creates more intensity and makes the viewers more excited to watch this film, waiting for the release date to arrive. The fact that the date is bold on both posters indicates that it’s deliberately done to make certain that the audience know when the film is going to be published. The posters both also make the background dull and mysterious, film poster (miserable weather) and teaser poster (colourless wall). This conveys the genre of the film, Action Adventure. It also gives a slight impression towards the audience of what the atmosphere of the film may be, building up more tension. Differences The film poster only reveals one character, Batman. Whereas the teaser poster doesn’t reveal much, only showing an eerie face. This is deliberately done to not give much away to the audience when the teaser poster is released. It is also done to make the film poster recognisable and build the excitement for the release date. Having only a face painted mysteriously on a wall on the teaser poster makes it more effective as it creates a curious element. This also doesn’t reveal anything about the plot or narrative of the film, automatically making the viewers puzzled and wanting to know more about what happens. However, the film poster does the opposite, having the one major character builds the tension and highlights the protagonist. The main poster consists of more things that will occur in the film and adds excitement. The fact that there are explosions and many unknown focuses engages the audience and makes them want to know more. Teaser poster VS Main film poster- Similarities

Both posters feature the main batman symbol, a bat, representing this daring character Batman. This is done to attract the audience’s attention as this logo is well-known and will appeal to Batman fans and viewers that enjoy this type of film.

DifferencesThe film poster only reveals one character, Batman.

The Teaser poster reveals a much more plain and unrevealing background, a simple, dim brick wall and a blood bat, giving a sense of violence and conflict but doesn’t give much away to the audience making them wonder what might occur. Whereas the main film poster reveals a more revealing background. A cloudy sky, bright explosions and a smoke effect, with the

superhero standing in the middle of it all. This results in the film poster being more interesting and giving the audience the impression that the background has a lot to do with what conflict might take place and what Batman has to do with it, also attracting the viewers attention.

The teaser poster doesn’t consist of much information about directors, actors etc. However, the main poster does. This suggests that the main poster may become more interesting towards the audience, making it useful for them to find the information they need on the film. The fact that the main poster also contains of actors names indicates that the audience much be a fan of particular people, attracting a bigger audience and interesting viewers, creating higher awareness.
