MISLATA HANDBALL FEST

Spanish handball is champion of Europe and, however, does not enjoy of the recognition that deserves in the Spanish society. A friendly and festive event is the best context to find, enjoy, think and propose alliances and solutions.

Mislata and the end of the season are an ideal place and moment to gather and spend time together.

The ingredients are a good Tournament, some Professional Meetings to improve the connection of our sport with the Spanish society, lunches and dinners for networking among technicians, directors and players, social dynamism and entertainment to promote our sport among the public opinion and, finally, some appropriate municipal installations in a territory with blue heavens and very close to the Mediterranean sea.

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

WHAT IS IT?

It is a sports event designed by Club Balonmano Mislata with the collaboration of the Mislata Town Hall, the Royal Spanish Handball Federation and the Valencian Handball Federation.

During 4 days at the end of the season 2018-19, the world of the most aware Spanish handball joins in Mislata to play, debate and share knowledge and experiences in the best possible scenery.

The festival will hold a base handball tournament, a professional meeting, entertainment areas and quite a lot of social dynamism.

WHEN WILL IT TAKE PLACE?

The Mislata Handball Fest is expected to be held on June 20, 21, 22 and 23, 2019.

The Base tournament will take place from Friday to Sunday.

The Alerta 1st Professional Meeting will be held on Thursday.

The entertainment and social dynamism areas a will work from Friday to Sunday.

WHERE?

The Mislata Handball Fest will be mainly held in the Valencian city of Mislata, quite near the city of Valencia. Among the facilities, La Canaleta sports Hall stands out, but also El Quint Sports Hall and La Fábrica Socio-cultural Centre.

Furthermore, it will also count with other sports facilities in the cities of Xirivella and Quart.

HANDBALL TOURNAMENT

DATES

It will be held on June 2019 during Friday 21, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23. The qualifying round will take place on the first two days. The finals will be played on Sunday at La Canaleta Sports Hall, followed by a closing ceremony and the awards ceremony. Teams will be welcomed in the afternoon of Thursday 20.

More than 120 teams altogether, 1.200 players and 250 handball matches in 7 simultaneous courts, with more than 800 daily dinner guests and 700 people hosted by the organization.

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

FORMAT & TIME OF GAME

- 10 minutes each part in U9 and U11. 5/6 matches- 15 minutes each part in U13 and U15. 5/6 matches- 20 minutes each part in U17. 5/6 matches- 25 minutes each part in U23. 4 matches

Groups of four or five teams, playing all against each other. The maximum number of players per team that can play the Tournament is 18 players.

Referees belong to the Valencian Handball Federation.

INTERNAL TRANSPORTATION

In order to enable mobility during the tournament among the different sports facilities, the organization of the MHF will stablish a totally free shuttle service for all the players.

PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICE

Undoubtedly, the Tournament will differ from the others thanks to its medical team that will be present throughout the competition. With internationally recognized physiotherapists during the matches, players will be able to play and have fun without worrying about their health.

- Each club must have its own health insurance for all the players and officials.

- A sports medical insurance can be signed with the organization if needed by a club.

- The organization will offer first-aid and physiotherapist service in the sports facilities.

Paseyva Travel Sport Agency is a company specialized in handball travels. They aim to make their customers enjoy the best experience during their sport journeys. They are specialists in the management of journeys, lodging and tourist activities both in championships in Spain and in friendly matches, even for travel companions.

In this tournament Paseyva Travel Sport will be responsible for arranging the journeys of all the participating teams that may need these services. The company itself will personally arrange the travelling, accommodation and registration of those teams. As its slogan says:

TEAM REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for every team is €50. Likewise, the organization offers different discount options for enrolled clubs.

RP - Right of Participation. €25. It includes:

- Right of participation and internal transport among the different sport facilities.- Physiotherapist and first aid service.- Referees and water for players.- 3 mid-morning snacks and 2 afternoon snacks.- 1 backpack gift with presents of the organization.- Free access to the fest and to the local swimming pool.- Fraternity evening meal (2 representatives per club).

HB - Half Board. Including, in addition to the aforementioned in RP:

- 3 meals in the dining room of the tournament (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

The options of Full Board (FB) includes, besides the previously established in RP and HB:

- 3 breakfasts in the pertinent accommodations.- 5 meals (lunch and dinner of Friday and Saturday and lunch or picnic on Sunday) in the dining room of the tournament.

FB_ES - Full board in school classroom.

- A school in Mislata less than 5’ from the main sports hall.

FB_UH - Full board in UP Hostel.

- Located inside Estación del Norte, the main Railway Station in Valencia.- St/ Xàtiva 24.- Shared rooms for 8 and up to 16 people.

FB_PE - Full board in Residencia Deportiva Petxina.

The organization will provide the teams and their companions with the connection to the best quality and trustworthy hotels and accommodations at special prices and conditions within the immediate surroundings, less than 10 km length, with usual collaborators of the club. The stay may include previous and following days to the event in order to visit the city of Valencia and its surroundings.

The organization can offer reliable tour operators at special prices and conditions to teams and their companions for guided tours before, during and after the event.

ALERTA 1st PROFESSIONAL MEETING

It will be held during Thursday 20 (morning and afternoon) and Friday 21 (morning) entirely in La Fábrica Socio-cultural Centre in Mislata.

The meeting will gather many differrent professionals from the world of handball. The goal is to establish relationships and create a highly value content through the exhibition of success cases, verified methods and new apllication systems for our sport.

The meeting will aproach the aspectsand the concerns of nowadays, not only in the sports field. Topics such as the recruitment in a context totally dominated by football, the relation between handball and society or handball as a civic tool in a social context of crisis will be the main issuesin different talks and round tables.

The meeting will count with professionals from many differents areas, from managers to leading coaches. From National Federation managers to directors of successful cases at national level.

From experts in cutting-edge technologies to developers of new systems of immediate application to our sport.

And by all means, famous international handball players will tell us about their personal storiesand how they reached success. They all have something to contribute to the Alerta 1st Professional Meeting.

The meeting will conclude with an Official Dinner that will enhance Networking. Confirmation of assistance will be made by previous registration and the registration fee will be sponsored by companies present at the event.

All of this will take place in a centre eqquiped with the best technology, the best tools and with multiple conference rooms working simultaneously in order to make the Alerta 1st Professional Meeting a unique event within the world of handball.

CABECERASOCIAL DYNAMISM AND ENTERTAINMENT

The meeting and the Tournament will be accompanied during the whole weekend with endless entertainment and social activities that will create a typical party atmosphere of a festival like this one.

All along the event, the area next to La Canaleta Sports Hall will become the hub of the Tournament, with live music, street sports, bar and many other activities.

It will host celebrities from the handball world thath will be present during the Tournament and who will interact with the participants. Among all the activities and services of the festival, we can highlight:
