What is an Extension in RdSAP?• In RdSAP an extension is classed as part of the

dwelling which is thermally different or has different characteristics from the main property e.g. Roof, floors or walls. The extensions must be heated and occupied for it to be recorded.

• If an extension is the same age, construction and insulation properties as the main house it must be included as part of the main dwelling.

extends over the unheated garage but is part of the original construction of the property.

Modelling multiple heating systems in RdSAP 9.90.• DEA’s not using the multiple heating system

options correctly.• Incorrectly selecting Main Heating 2 for a

Secondary heating source.• Incorrectly selecting Main Heating 2 to

system although only supplies heat for DHW.
