THE  COMPLETE  GUIDE  TO  VENDOR  EVENT  SUCCESS  !

Vendor  events  are  the  key  to  ge0ng  out  of  your  inner  circle  and  making  new  connec8ons,  if  you  find  events  that  are  well  a;ended,  connect  with  your  ideal  client  and  have  a  strategy  before  you  get  there. !

WHAT  QUESTIONS  SHOULD  I  ASK  THE  VENDOR  EVENT  ORGANIZER  BEFORE  I  SAY  YES?  10 Questions You Should Ask Before You Commit  1.  Is  this  the  first  8me  you’re  holding  the  event?    If  not,  how  many  a;endees  did  you  have  last  year?  2.  Who  a;ends  (Moms,  families,  etc…)?    3.  What  kind  of  marke8ng  are  you  doing  for  the  event?  4.  Do  you  have  a  Facebook  event  page  I  can  share  and  post my  website link  on?  5.  How  many  vendors  total  (be  wary  of  too  many  vendors)?  6.  Will  you  provide  a  table?  If  yes,  what  size  is  it?  Do  I  need  a  tablecloth?  7.  Is  there  a  fee?  Note:  Most  will  ask  for  a  table  fee  ($25  –  $30  avg)  or  a  $25  door  prize  dona8on.    8.  Are  you  going  to  have  duplicate  vendors  (more  than  one  of  a  product  type  or  industry)?  9.  Tell  me  about  your  school/group/charity…how  many  ac8ve  members  do  you  have?  (The  more  ac8ve  members,  the  more  successful  the  vendor  event  will  be.)  10.  Do  you  have  access  to  electricity  and/or  wireless  internet?  !

I  FOUND  A  VENDOR  EVENT,  NOW  WHAT  DO  I  DO?  You interviewed the organizer and found an event that’s a perfect fit for your biz. Now what? It’s time for strategy. “Go social” at the event and create a social media challenge for the attendees to take a pic with you, or a product, and post it on their social sites like Facebook and Insta-gram. Have some fun and become a shameless self-promoter. I’ve even “staged” photos and had people line up at my table so it looks like I have the most crowded table at the event. Sometimes you have to create your own buzz! By the way, pics are more engaging when they include people, and not just products, in them. Avoid salesy words that sound like “buy my stuff” when you post to Facebook and Instagram. Instead, share a pic of your crowded table with a comment like, “Having a blast raising money for (school name)!” and hashtag our product and company

WHAT  SHOULD  I  DISPLAY  AT  A  VENDOR  EVENT?  Just like ordering off a restaurant menu, less is more. I know you’re excited about your new products, but you don’t need to bring them all to your vendor event. Your display should com-municate a simple call to action to the attendees. If your table is too busy or confusing, potential customers will walk on by.

HOW  TO  SETUP  A  VENDOR  DISPLAY  Most vendors display products flat on the table, with no real focus or objective. Think yard sale. You, on the other hand, will look like an expert because you are going to use Triangle Market-ing! “What’s that?” Photographers compose photos using imaginary triangles because it’s more pleasing to the eye. It works for your vendor table, too. Use props (cover with fabric*) to elevate products so they are displayed in the shape of a triangle. A prop can be a box, or even a pot that you found in the kitchen at the hall where the vendor event is located. !

WHAT  DO  I  SAY  WHEN  SOMEONE  APPROACHES  MY  VENDOR  TABLE?  

First: 2 Key Phrases to Avoid, Exclamation Points Optional: Join my team! Facebook is flooded with “join my team” posts. It’s overused and sounds a little scary. “Joining” is borderline cult lingo. A simple Help Wanted or Join the Party sign will do. People get the “help wanted” message and understand that it means you have a job opening and they can make money. Sign me up.

Book a party! Booking is industry jargon and not very customer friendly. Customers don’t want to be “booked.” Remember Hawaii Five-O? “Book ‘em, Danno,” meant someone was going to jail. Orange may be the new black but try some new verbiage like “get the gang together, “girl’s night out” or “wine down Wednesday.” If you wine it, they will come.

Surprise your new friend by not asking them to “book a party.” That’s what every other vendor just did and now they are scared to make eye contact with you. Instead, get to know more about them. First rule of engagement: A potential customer should be talking more than you.

Find out who’s interested in your product or service by asking: “Have you ever tried this crazy wrap thing?”

Engage the attendees in conversation by playing a fun door prize game: “Can you guess how many (your product or candy) are in the jar?” This is just for fun. Everyone loves to win a contest. While they’re busy counting, sign them up for your email list to enter a prize drawing. Then ask the next question….

Find out the best way to connect by asking: What’s the best way to connect…Facebook, text or email? If they prefer a text message, and you’re emailing, you’re wasting your time. Use your smart-phone to connect on Facebook, or put their cell phone # in your phone, while they’re engaged in conversation. You’ll get better follow-up results.

HOW  TO  FOLLOW  UP  WITH  VENDOR  EVENT  LEADS  Everyone’s a winner! Well, there’s only one grand prize winner but why not follow up by telling everyone they won something. It’s a great ice breaker. Share who won the grand prize and say, “You won a gift too, a free _____!” Remember you should be following up no later than 72 hrs after your event; you want to make sure to keep your encounter with them fresh!

!'After  Earth'  offers  lessons  in  

conquering  fear    Will Smith and son, Jaden Smith, teamed up to star in the M. Night Shyamalan movie, "After Earth." The film, based on a story idea by Will Smith, is set 1,000 years in the future and charts a father and son's war to survive after their spaceship breaks apart due to a meteor shower and crash lands on earth. Earth is now an uninhabited toxic planet that has evolved in every way to kill humans. When these sur-vivors realize that the only working device to send out a distress signal to their home land is in the tail end of the airplane – incredibly, miles from where the rest of the vessel has landed – the son, Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith), must overcome every fear he has of what lurks on the deserted planet, and go on a per-ilous journey to find the signal and save his father, Cypher Raige (Will Smith), who was injured during their fall.

The film is pretty much a bare bones adventure choosing to leave the fat of the journey in the mind of our protagonist, Jaden. After being shipwrecked on toxic planet earth, Will never really leaves their nearly demolished space craft, rather he settles into the role of being Jaden's "eyes" from the ship – the voice from the lookout beacon trying to narrate his son to safety. Up until the end of the great adventure, most of the obstacles Jaden has to overcome start first in his mind. At the very beginning of the film, Will's character offers a memorable speech in the same vein as Dale Carnegie's famous training on the idea that fear does not exist except in the mind. The elder Smith is trying to teach his son to live in the present moment, and to keep a sound mind, rather than borrow fear from a future outcome one is not presently facing. Danger is real, he tells his son, but fear only exists in the mind. The film was rewarding, and what it lacks in storyline, is made up in life lessons and a genuine experi-ence.

They key to follow ups is keeping it SIMPLE. This will build your confidence about what you are of-fering and will make it less stressful each time you follow up. First, make a note or type a script to know what you want to cover during the conversation, and answers to commonly asked questions. I love having a product brochure handy since it is informational and to the point. Second, make sure you are excited and have fun, as your passion for It Works will show right when you start your conversa-tion with them. You can practice following up with friends and family about the business and field their questions to build your confidence as well. Third, if you have e-mail addresses of your leads, you might be tempted to simply e-mail. But, a phone call is the best way to follow up because you have the person's full attention, can answer their questions, and schedule a meeting to discuss our It Works! Business in person. !Leads/Prospects Follow Up within 24-48 hrs!! The longer you wait... the chance of them forgetting you and the product increases. A NO is not a NO to you, or the product... it’s a NO to the unknown - it’s not their time. Now you have these leads and start calling them, you must have a system to file them. Find a method that works for YOU! A way to organize these leads so you can stay on track with them and be consis-tent. You can try a “Google Calendar”, “Outlook Calendar”, “Assistant App” on your cell phone, or “Your Own Filing System” !I am a bit old school and like using my Day Planner/Calendar & Envelope System. I write in my Day Planner anyone wanting me to contact them tomorrow, next week, or even later this month if they are really interested. The envelopes are labeled for later this month, next month (ex. May 1-14), next month (ex. May15-31), then each of the following months. Remember to take GOOD conversation notes; they will go a long way to building your business bet-ter!! Take notes on EVERYTHING they talk about and stay in contact CONSTANTLY.

LOYAL CUSTOMERS Loyal Customers make the best Distributors. They can become passionate about the products and will want to share their results with everyone. BOOM! Contact LC’s within their 1st-72 hours to see how they are doing with their wrap results. First, make a “Follow Up Schedule”. At 72 hours, contact in person or on the phone to discuss their wrap results and take the result pic-ture. In 2 weeks discuss their products they have received and how to use them properly for the results they are after. On the 2 month mark, help them finish their 90 day goals. Also, discuss new needs or hear successes and CELEBRATE them! Since you stayed connected, at 6 months or sooner you will discuss new needs and wants. Congratulate them for earning their 50 in perk points and see if they want to spend them. Encourage them towards the 150 perk points coming up after 12 months of consecutive auto ships. I follow up with my loyal customers by logging into my e-Suite and looking at the Tree View. First I just my loyals, then those I have placed with my team in my downline. I look at their past shipments, see if there was any returns, past shipments, and what their upcoming autoship is. Then I call, text or Facebook message them and ask if they want to keep the autoship the same or can I help them change it. Some use the 2x2x2 Excel Sheet to keep track of the above info, you will have to find what works for you. !Team Communication Regular Contact is a MUST New Distributor Guidelines Launch them within 7-10 days Help them with their 1st few parties Be there for every question they may have Don’t lose them before they even get started !Know who your workers area and work with them...but DO NOT forget about DT’s that are on your

team to just get their products covered with their income. They are just as important as the DT’s

that are growing!

Incorporating your Un-Incorporated Husband

by: Stacy LichtenwaldNot  all  of  us  come  into  this  business  with  a  significant  other  who  whole  heartedly  100%  has  your  back.    Someone  that  would  do  anything  you  need  for  your  success.    Not  always  do  we  have  that  person  at  home  we  can  come  home  and  boast  about  our  success  with.    I  was  one  of  those  unfortu-­‐nate  DT  3  years  ago.    I  came  into  this  business  excited  and  on  fire.    I  had  my  dreams  and  my  whys  ready  to  go.    Till  I  got  home.      It  was  a  different  story  then.  

AGer  my  1st  party  and  great  results  I  knew  that  this  was  something  I  wanted  to  do.    I  wanted  some-­‐thing  for  me.    Something  that  was  my  business  and  made  me  feel  proud  of  myself.    I  wanted  my  husband  and  kids  to  be  proud  of  me  too.    Boy  was  I  mistaken.    When  I  told  my  husband  I  needed  $199  to  join,  he  was  not  having  that.      He  preOy  much  told  me  if  I  can  come  up  with  the  money  my-­‐self  go  ahead  and  do  what  I  goOa  do.    He  was  never  rude  about  it  but  never  overly  joyed  either.      I  already  knew  that  I  wanted  this  and  wasn’t  gonna  let  anyone  stop  me  from  coming  up  with  the  money!    Even  if  it  was  my  husband.      

So  I  saved  up  the  money  and  signed!    I  was  ready  to  party!    I  was  ready  to  blitz!    Ready  to  be  suc-­‐cessful.      Go  out  in  the  world  and  be  somebody!      Till  I  got  home.        All  I  wanted  was  a  good  job.    Was  to  come  home  to  kids  homework  done.    Maybe  pick  up  from  dinner.    It  seemed  at  Wmes  that  It  was  a  losing  baOle  to  try  and  do  It  works  along  with  my  family  life.    No  support  can  tear  you  down.    He  recently  said  to  me  that  at  first  he  had  a  hard  Wme  with  the  separaWon  of  me  being  gone.    Men  are  proud.    Too  proud  someWmes  to  admit  that  they  need  you  or  need  help.    Not  all  men  I  suppose.    But  mine  did.    He  had  a  hard  Wme  understanding  why  I  felt  it  necessary  to  do  this  business  on  their  Wme.    Why  cant  I  do  it  when  they  don’t  need  me.    He  oGen  wondered  where  I  was  that  took  precedence  over  the  home.      It  took  him  Wme  to  accept  the  fact  that  I  was  doing  this  with  his  sup-­‐port  or  not.  

I  could  have  wrapped  the  president  and  my  husband  and  kids  could  have  cared  less.    They  were  more  concerned  that  I  wasn’t  home  to  help  with  homework  or  make  dinner.      I  began  to  feel  guilty.    Guilty  that  I  leG  him  home  to  do  extra  duWes.    Guilty  that  my  kids  weren’t  happy  that  mom  was  out.    Or  so  it  seemed,  they  are  preOy  good  at  laying  on  the  sap!  Even  though  I  seen  the  bigger  picture  they  hadn’t  yet.  

I  went  for  almost  a  year  of  these  negaWve  feelings.    I  went  to  training  and  OTOM  alone.    Did  my  parWes  and  came  home  showing  no  excitement.    Went  to  my  1st  conference  alone.    Don’t  get  me  wrong  I  had  my  team  by  my  side.    But  it  never  felt  the  the  same  as  if  I  had  the  support  I  felt  I  needed  from  home.

I  prayed!!      Prayed  some  more!!    “God  please  one  day  let  him  see  the  picture  I  see!    Let  my  kids  find  the  fun  in  this!!    Don’t  let  me  fail.”    God  told  me  to  invite  them.    What?    Invite  the  ones  who  are  the  most  negaWve?    Yep!!      

I  started  taking  one  kid  at  a  Wme  to  parWes  and  allowed  them  to  be  my  assistant.    They  loved  it!    Who  would  have  thought?    They  would  serve  greens  samples,  help  share  defining  gel  on  the  guests  hands.    They  made  sure  each  guest  had  a  pen.    Small  tasks  to  include  them  to  make  them  feel  of  importance  to  my  business.    I  needed  them  just  as  much  as  they  needed  me,  even  if  it  wasn’t  at  home.  

Now  how  do  I  get  my  husband  on  board?    Invite  him  I  kept  hearing.    As  many  no’s  I  got  from  him  I  just  kept  my  shield  up.    What  do  we  teach  our  team…Go  through  99  no’s  to  get  that  1!!!    Right?    So  it  has  to  work  with  him  too.      And  you  know  what?    It  did!    Finally!!!  

He  finally  decided  to  go  to  conference  with  me  2013.    Although  I  know  that  he  only  wanted  to  go  iniWally  as  a  vacaWon  in  sunny  Florida.    The  idea  of  golfing  and  beach  is  right  up  his  alley!    He  didn’t  come  to  the  1st  night  of  conference  and  I  think  back  to  that  same  gut  wrenching  feeling.    How  badly  I  wanted  him  to  just  see  the  pic-­‐ture  and  accept  it.    Be  excited  for  me  and  this  business.    Be  excited  for  him  and  our  kids  of  what  legacy  I  am  trying  to  build.    Here  we  are  the  2nd  night  and  it  was  the  Diamond  party!!    Woo  hooo!!!  He  was  coming.    He  went,  he  mingled,  he  laughed,  made  friendships  from  other  guys!    Wait  other  guys?  Yes  there  are  other  guys  who  wear  black  and  green  bling!!  Actually  a  lot  of  other  men  in  this  business.    He  said  to  me  later  it  was  then  that  he  seen  how  non  supporWve  he  really  was.    How  many  men  were  there  really  supporWng  their  wives  100%.    That  other  men  listen  aOenWvely  to  their  wives  excitements.    Other  men  helped  with  household  chores  and  drove  the  kids  to  their  event.    So  that  the  wife  could  do  this.    His  eyes  were  finally  opened.      

Ive  learned  since  then  the  color  personality  chart.    He  is  totally  a  blue.    He  wants  the  fun  out  of  it  all.    He  wants  to  mingle  and  make  friends.    I  wasn’t  aware  of  having  to  give  into  him  some  of  what  he  needs  in  order  to  get  back  some  of  what  I  needed.    Had  I  knows  this  back  then,    I  would  have  taken  him  to  a  fun  party  from  the  get  go!!    I  highly  encourage  everyone  to  learn  the  charts  and  determine  what  color    you  are  and  color  your  support  system  is.    Learn  how  to  blend  the  two  that  works  best  for  you!  

We  came  home  and  he  has  since  then  been  my  right  hand  man.    He  goes  to  trainings  with  me.    He  is  more  then  willing  to  do  what  needs  done  at  home  so  I  can  be  out  in  the  field.    He  is  now  a  DT  and  blitzes.    He  comes  home  with  names  and  numbers  for  me  to  contact.    He    sets  up  wrap  appointments  for  me.    Its  turned  around  to  now  when  I  talk  about  events  its  not  even  a  quesWon  of  if  he  is  coming  with  me  or  not!    Its  ok  how  much  do  you  need  for  the  both  of  us!  

Ive  watched  many  distributors  come  into  this  business  and  fail  quickly  because  of  not  having  the  posiWve  en-­‐couragement  at  home.    The  sooner  that  you  can  get  your  other  party  on  board  the  beOer  it  is  for  everyone.    Dig  deep  into  your  faith  and  ask  God  for  what  you  need.    He  will  provide.    Learn  how  you  can  help  your  signifi-­‐cant  benefit  you.    SomeWmes  stepping  back  and  not  feeling  that  its  just  them  to  needs  to  change  but  maybe  you  too  that  needs  to  be  paWent  and  let  them  gradually  come  to  you.    Keep  asking  for  them  to  assist  you.    Keep  them  involved  even  if  they  seem  to  not  want  to  be  right  then.    It  will  happen.    They  will  come  around.    And  when  they  do,  be  happy!    BE  thankful.    Let  them  know  how  grateful  you  are!    Don’t  give  up!

You’ve purchased your Business Builder Kit, set up your all-important auto-shipment, and given your kit a boost with the pack of your choice. You’ve got this step down! Make sure you're getting the most out of your auto-shipment with the great tools available through your eSuite! !!Auto-shipment Edits:!Select “Edit Auto-shipments” to make your auto-shipment changes, then select "Edit," followed by "Change Items." Click on the trash can icon to remove items and then click “Continue Shopping” to add items. !!Once all changes are complete click “Continue” to select your shipment method and click “Continue” again to verify your payment method. Save all changes by selecting the green “Save your Auto-Ship-ment” button located on the right hand side. Remember, any auto-shipment changes need to be com-pleted two-business days prior to the next shipment date. !!Auto-shipment Cancellation: !To cancel (we don’t recommend doing this!) your auto-shipment, click the “Auto-shipments” tab and then click “Cancel” if you wish to cancel your auto-shipment. !!Restart or Create Auto-shipment: !To restart or create a new your auto-shipment (definitely the better choice!), select "Create New Auto-shipment" under the "Auto-shipments" tab. I used to mark it off cause I had my kit and 80bv but wait it also includes materials within that kit! (Light bulb!), listening to what people do and taking note what product would interest them, order form completion when removing wrap and showing results, these are a few but I real-ly can go on with so much more....I walked away with so much beneficial info that I was never trained.!

My story goes back a few years to 2009 when I had met the man of my dreams! I had always been just the average mom. I never had to worry about what I ate, I never had stretch marks after my first child, and I was always in perfect health and at the perfect weight. It actually wasn’t until my wedding day in October 2009 that

I had noticed I gained a few pounds and started getting stretch marks on my inner thighs. Still, I never really thought anything of it and I guess I always just assumed that since my body style was so slen-der that I would never have to worry about gaining weight. I never thought that would happen to me! Long story short, my health went downhill, I started thinking something was “wrong” with me because I was gaining weight so fast and my husband and I were trying to conceive for a year with no luck. Well, 1 year turned into 2 and still no luck. Before I knew it I went from 130lbs up to 165 lbs. After about 2 ½ years my husband and I FINALLY found out we were pregnant! I gained even more weight other places than my belly too, and I had stretch marks EVERYWHERE from the pregnancy. I heard about It Works in April of 2012 when I was 9 months pregnant with my second son. I was at a women’s expo, and found the wraps intriguing but wasn’t able to do them since I was pregnant and about to deliver. After my son was born, I went back down to about 160lbs. Well, before I knew it, 160 tuned to 180+ and those stretch marks looked even worse not being pregnant. I was the biggest I had ever been and couldn’t stand it anymore, I was disgusted when I looked in the mirror! I couldn’t be-lieve I let myself go so much! I had no energy, I drank coffee all day, I ate junk, I didn’t have the time to work out with a newborn, and I napped 2-3 times a day. I started seeing these crazy wraps more and more and hearing about it so much I decided to look into it. It took me months to finally decide to check it out. I planned my first wrap party for the beginning of January 2013 so that I could try these wraps for free. I found out that It Works had A LOT more to offer than just a wrap! About 2 weeks after setting my party I decided to join the team. I still don’t know why I decided to, but I felt like it was call-ing my name and I couldn’t stop thinking about it! I ended up signing as a distributor on December 31st 2012. I did my first wrap on January 1st 2013 and got AMAZING results! After 4 total wraps, my stretch marks are now not even noticeable! 2 days after my first wrap I started on my Greens. The greens have changed my LIFE!! I got my energy back, I sleep better, after about 3 days on the greens I no longer needed coffee or red bulls throughout the day, I no longer need naps, and after a week I stopped getting cravings for junk food and soda! My skin cleared up so much and I feel so amazing that now I don’t want to "sell" people these products, I want to SHARE with people these products!

I went from being 180+ lbs, to 145 lbs in just a couple months and I am STILL losing weight! As you can see, these products are changing my life and will still continue to! I promoted to Diamond on March 26th 2013 and earned the $10,000 G.O.O.D Bonus! One month later I earned my $5,000 High Five bonus and promoted to Double Diamond. Then earned another $500 Christmas Cash in Nov! I have only just begun my story and my journey. I recently have started working out and getting into shape! If it wasn't for these amazing products and business I would have never had the motivation (or funds) to achieve more for myself and my family! I am so excited to be able to see how It Works is now changing the lives of the people around me! I have met a TON of great people! I love myself again and I LOVE the way my life is going and my future looks bright and clear again!
