Successful Classroom Management Techniques and the Power of Promoting Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports in a High School ClassroomManaging behavior in a high school classroom is one of the most challenging skills to master as a teacher. Teachers who struggle with this skill often find themselves leaving the profession in their first three years. Unfortunately, there is no magic or quick fix when it comes to managing teenagers. However, teachers who utilize Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) often report being happier and more successful with their chosen profession. In this session, participants will learn about proactive approaches to establish PBIS in the classroom and walk away with real-world examples they can implement on the first day of school.
