Master of Arts in Teaching + Certification at TCU
Do you want to shape the lives and minds of ado-lescents? If you have a bachelor’s degree in a field related to English, mathematics, science, or social studies, you can earn your master’s degree and teaching certification in less than one year at TCU.
Earn your Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree, as well as a teaching certification for grades 4 through 8 or 6/7 through 12 with the 30-hour TCU Teach program. You will take classes at TCU and ob-serve and teach in the university’s partner schools, immersing you in diverse classrooms throughout the program.
Small classes will offer individualized instruction from TCU’s internationally recognized faculty. Finan-cial aid options make TCU economically competitive with area programs. And a dedicated career con-sultant will work with you to develop your resume and interview skills and connect you with schools, districts, non-profits and companies.
Nearly 100% of our undergraduate teacher pro-gram candidates receive teaching placements upon graduation, and around 80% are hired in the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex.
Summer coursework (12 hours)Summer courses will include fieldwork to fulfill requirements for admission to student teaching.
