Much research has been done on the importance of “taking a break”: making the time to pause from the daily routine, having a change of pace, etc. When one works hard and deals with daily stresses, it is imperative, occasionally- to stop and “recharge”. In cur- rent times we can perhaps understand this concept better by thinking of our cellphones (or other devices) wherein the bat- teries require recharging for optimal function. Additionally, the mid-winter break is an opportune time to bond and connect to our precious family members, to enjoy a more leisurely, less- hectic schedule and spend valuable, enjoyable time together. Enjoy your mid-winter vacation! We look forward to greeting everyone, relaxed, re-charged and rejuvenated, next week B’ezras Hashem! Gut Shabbos! Mrs. Raitzik

Dear Parents,

It is difficult to believe that we are at the “mid-point” of the school year …yet here we are; greeting “mid-winter vacation”! Actually, as we reflect upon the progress our students in every classroom have made, from Kindergarten all the way through eighth grade, it is certainly heartening to observe their pro-gress and development, in so many areas Baruch Hashem! With all of the efforts invested by so many individuals- parents, teachers, support staff, and of course- the students themselves!- it is certainly a good time to take a break! Much research has been done on the importance of “taking a break”: making the time to pause from the daily routine, having a change of pace, etc. When one works hard and deals with daily stresses, it is imperative, occasionally- to stop and “recharge”. In cur-rent times we can perhaps understand this concept better by thinking of our cellphones (or other devices) wherein the bat-teries require recharging for optimal function.

This week we learned the Halachos and Minhagim of making לחם משנה . Our girls are almost ready to conduct

their own Shabbos seudos!

An important lesson we learned:

Why do we cover the חלה?

One is supposed to make a bracha on the challah before the wine. But since we’re required to make kiddush first, we

cover the חלה so as not to embarrass it.

Let’s stop for a moment and think: If we’re trying to be care-ful and cover the shame of an inanimate object; the challah, how much more careful must we all be with the feelings of a friend?! To what lengths does Hashem want us to go so as

not to embarrass another yid?

Kudos to all the girls that participated in the writing/ drawing contest (4-8).

Winners and prizes will be announced ה“א at the Rosh Chodesh Adar assembly .

Our raffle winners this week were: Rosie Harrison 3rd grade &Fraidy Zweig 6th

grade We will be cashing in Shabbos dollars

this week. Remember to do your

Shabbos checklist
