Dear Friends and Partners:
Thank you for making the 12th Annual Texas Black Expo Juneteenth Celebration a tremendous success. Our mission to stimulate growth and development within urban communities by strengthening businesses, inspir-ing youth, and building better lives becomes further actualized each year. Texas Black Expo understands however, that continuing to fulfill our mission would not be possible without the endless support of our sponsors, vendors and community partners.
As President of Texas Black Expo, I’m often caught up in the present state of Black Expo to observe the magni-tude of its growth since it began in 2003. Yet as I reflect, I am awed and inspired by how many lives have been positively impacted. With the continuous support of friends and partners, Texas Black Expo has touched hundreds of thousands of lives and warmed countless hearts. Together, our unyielding dedication to “Building Better Lives” has helped make Texas Black Expo June-teenth Summer Celebration the largest tradeshow and empowerment festival throughout Texas.
#TBE2015 hosted thousands of visitors of all ages, cultures and professional backgrounds. From the busi-ness reception to live events and performances and the tradeshow, Texas Black Expo is proud to say that it created and executed a rich selection of events just as diverse as the patrons in attendance.
This years new events featured the Step-Off showcase and How to Build a Career in Entertainment roundtable
discussion, promoted with social media campaigns, radio spots, press releases and more. By leveraging the influence of these marketing mediums, we were able to connect with people on multiple levels and deeply engrain Texas Black Expo mission in the community.
Texas Black Expo encourages you to find a compre-hensive #TBE2015 report in the following pages. It was another remarkable year, and we are excited to share the results. Wit that being said, we also recog-nize there’s much room for growth. We look forward to continuing to partner with you to strengthen businesses, inspire youth and build better lives.
Sincerely,
Jerome LoveFounder and President

#TBE2015: EVENT SUMMARY
# T B E 2 0 1 5 I M P A C T R E P O R T
Texas Black Expo (TBE) Juneteenth Summer Celebration is an annual event that is traditionally held to coincide with the Juneteenth holiday. The action-packed Summer Celebration consistently features celebrity guests and entertainment, along with beneficial workshops, symposiums and networking events. The event draws more than 20,000 attendees each year and always emphasizes a new theme that’s relevant to the community. “Building Better Lives” was the theme of #TBE2015. The theme strived to connect the TBE mission to the community by focusing on health care, technological advances and cultural arts:
2015 was a banner year for Texas Black Expo (TBE). We launched several new programs and events for #TBE2015. One of our newest events, “Road to TBE,” was held in Dallas and Austin in the weeks leading up to #TBE2015. The purpose of the "Road to TBE" was to promote and spread the mission of Texas Black Expo, while encouraging professional and social networking among our target audiences. Texas Black Expo partnered with prominent African American organizations, such as the Greater Austin Black Cham-ber of Commerce, Black Professional Alliance Austin, National Black MBA, Young Enterprising Society and others to ensure the success of the events. We hosted hundreds of guests in both cities, and thanks to our monumental success, we will expand to more Texas markets in 2016.
