SYNERGY• Enter Shikira worked with Microsoft game studios to produce an instrumental song called The band created an instrumental song entitled "Enter Shikari vs. Blue Dragon" for the Xbox 360 game Blue Dragon. Their songs feature on different gaming platform games and TV programmes. Such as:

‘No Sleep Tonight’, ‘Wall’ and ‘Juggernauts’ can be heard on an episode of BBC One’s Waterloo Road

Although Enter Shikari is owned by the independent record label Ambush Reality, as the band has worked together with Microsoft, a major company, it reflects that there is properly a large amount of money available to promote the band.

The band may have choose to feature in Waterloo Road and Xbox games, as they are targeted towards a teenage, similar to the band’s target audience.

This type of marketing may appeal to Enter Shikari’s target audience as, for example, Waterloo Road is about a secondary school, teenagers and growing up. This may be relatable to the band’s audience as many of them will be of similar ages to the characters in the show, who listen to the band.

RICHARD DYER’S STAR THEORY

• Stars as constructions: The band tries to show it’s fans that it is not manufactured with lyrics such as ‘We are clinging to manufactured crippled constraints’ which could be said, ironically, as a manufactured style the band’s record label has created for them. These out of the box lyrics helps the band to be remembered.

• Stars as products: Back in 2007, when the bands debut album was released, there was a gap in the market for a new post-hard core, British band, which made them popular and created a lot of money for the band’s record label.

• Stars as embodiments of ideologies/cultures:

The band embody the idea that a group of friends can come together, make some good music and make it big. The band helped build the culture of teenage bands, in the modern age, helping to inspire young friends, similar to themselves. This can be seen in bands, such as Survive Atlantica and Our People vs. Yours. Who have a similar image to Enter Shikari.

• Stars as personalities: The Band try to give of the impression, especially early in their career, that they are normal boys from Hertfordshire. This idea can be seen in pictures of the band, where working class brands, such as Adidas, can be seen on their clothing.
