The Battery version contains: 3498 x 24 Bit drum samples 18 x Kits A few midi files for previewing the kits Installation notes: I recommend not moving anything out of the "TDMVol3_Batt3" folder. The supplied Kits and Bundles only use a portion of the samples on offer in the sample folder. So You can customise the pre-made kits or create all new ones! Drum Machines used: RZ-1, TR-55, XD-5, MFB-522, DDM-110, DDM-220, DPM-48, RX-21L, R-100, ED-10, PB-300 and the DSM-1. The analog drum machines have multiple samples of each drum sound to use in Round Robin Layering. This gives you a more analog feel. Rare 80's analog percussion

synth. Kind of like the Synare.

I was able to get everything

from deep bass drums to spacey

disco toms. Bought it from a

guy in Japan. Great find!

Great LoFi drums. The sampler

is extremely limited but super

crunchy and sometimes nasty in

a good way!

Obscure drum machine. The

sounds have that 80's digital

punch. A different flavour to its

contemporaries such as the DMX

machine. Maybe trying to

compete with Roland's

This unit really surprised me. I wasn't expecting a very editable digital percussion synth! Layering, Envelopes, Filters, modulation. Spent a considerable time with this

machine! Was able to create some great drums...

Mono Valve 1/4 inch machine.

This machine needs servicing!

However I can't bring myself

to do it because I like how it

sounds. I'm scared it will

lose it's mojo!

The Kush UBK Fatso

What's this doing here, well...

The FATSO acronym stands for Full Analog Tape Simulator and Optimizer. That's why!

The Kush Audio's Modded Empirical Labs Fatso is probably one of my favourite rack units.

I love it and It just had to get involved with this project!

old dolby B or C on...

Naming Convention:

Clean = Original drum sound recorded straight into the ULN-2.

Tape1 = Otari MX5050 1/4 inch 2 track machine... recorded normal level.

Tape2 = Otari MX5050 1/4 inch 2 track machine... different gain (more saturation).

TapeB = Rolls Valve 1/4 inch mono tape machine... various gain settings.

Cass1 = Hitachi D-E7 Cassette deck with Dolby C on...

Cass2 = Hitachi D-E7 Cassette deck with Dolby C on... different gain (more saturation).

Fat1 = UBK Fatso... subtle saturation

Fat2 = UBK Fatso... not-so subtle saturation

Fat3 = UBK Fatso... all the way to 11 !

X = Extra processing. Things like enveloped filters and extra EQ

ST = Stereo

R = For use in Round Robin Layering.

V= For use in Velocity Layering

Example:

DSM1_BD_A_Fat1_R1.wav

DSM1 Bass Drum, recorded through the Fatso with subtle saturation, for use in Round Robin Layering.
