AboutThe Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is a professional body for architects primarily in the United Kingdom, but also internationally.

They have an IT team consisting of approximately 20 people spread across their UK offices.

We were introduced to RIBA via a Digital Transformation specialist who was partnered on their project. This was a significant digital change programme and its success was reliant on building a team of digital specialists to ensure challenging performance targets were met, within tight timescales.

As ever, it is imperative to understand the culture of every organisation and its rationale for change, and as such we spent the next 2 months meeting with the project sponsors, preparing for the potential challenges around hiring (committee sign-off was one), and putting together a formal hiring strategy which ensured a smooth on-boarding process for all candidates.

The result was a newly formed digital team, successfully imbedded into the wider business with minimum disruption to the wider transformation programme.
