DOT LIT FISH

When the sun came up, Ben got out of bed.

He had eggs and ham.

He got his bag and went out to the bus stop.

At the bus stop, he saw his pals Ted, Sam, and

Pam.

Look at the red fish with green dots on its

fin, said Ted.

I like the green dots on its fin, said Pam.

Me too, said Ted.

What kind of fish is it? asked Sam.

I do not know, but I will find out, said Ben.

Ben went after the fish. The fish went into a

pit.

Come Ben or you will miss the bus! yelled

Ted.

Ben did not come. He went in the pit to find

the fish. The pit was black, and Ben could not

see.

Red fish with green dots, where are you? he

yelled.

Ben did not see any fish.

How did you do that? asked Ben.

The dots on my fin light up, said the dot lit

fish.

I like that! said Ben.

Do you light up? asked the dot lit fish.

No, I do not, said Ben.

Do you want to play with us? asked the dot

lit fish.

I have to go to school now, but we can play

soon, said Ben.

That would be fun. I would like to play with

you, said the dot lit fish.

Ben swam out of the pit as fast as he could.

He did not want to miss the bus. When he saw

Ted, Sam, and Pam, he said, The fish we saw

was a dot lit fish.

What is a dot lit fish? asked Ted.

It is a red fish with green dots on its fin and

the green dots light up!

I want to come with you when you go in the

pit again, said Ted.

I want to come too, said Sam.

Me too, said Pam.

Here comes the bus, said Ted.

On the way to school, they saw:
