The pull quotes used in this Table of Contents are like the ones that would be seen in a

Newspaper. They don’t have Editorial pillars on the page, which is quite different from most

magazine contents pages.

The contents title is very sophisticated and doesn’t necessarily fit the cover of the NME issue. There are pictures on

either side of the title, acting like anchors. The font used in this title is a serif font.

The subscription box shows a range of magazine covers.

Texts and Fonts:

The font used for the page numbers is a Sans font. This helps to make the

numbers of the articles stand out from the pull quotes and the editorial pillars.

Photograph:The Photo which stands out the most is the one that is in the middle of the page underneath the Contents Title. This is the magazines main article.

Comparing two editions of the table of contents, we can see that

they are the same in each edition of NME.

The Layout of the Contents page in both of magazine seem to have the main article picture in the top and middle of the page and other articles in the issue surrounding it. This allows a much more of casual feel to the publication.

Layout:

The editorial pillars in this contents page are on the right side of the page, which is more traditional and conventional for a music magazine.

ImagerySpeech being given, photo of a band that is featured in the magazine, a live performance are the photos that are present on the contents page. The imagery created by these photos allows the audience of Rolling Stones magazine to see what would be featured in the issue and also shows that the content is specific to the readers desires.

Colour Scheme and Fonts

The colour scheme is consistent with the contents page and the front cover shown in the red font and block colour behind the title CONTENTS. This allows the magazine to flow and adds consistency to the magazine.
