T4-12 Square Shoulder – Basic Guidelines
Positioning
T4-12 Square Shoulder is focused on machining steels and cast
irons, with acceptable performance when machining stainless
steels
Advantages of T4-12 range
• Cutter range starts from Ø32 mm with DOC capability 12 mm (max ap)
• Sq6-04 DOC capability max 4 mm
• Sq6-08 cutter range starts from Ø40 mm (max ap = 8 mm)
When slotting or contouring with radial depth of cut > 50%,
a DOC=6 mm is recommended
When contouring with radial depth of cut < 25 %, it is possible
to use full DOC (12 mm)
