How to use CaIS basic modules

Avialable options on Date fields input method:Input Description

T Today, actual system date

T-n n day before Today , n = numeric number (ex.: T-1 = Yesterday)

T+n n day after Today

day.mount In actual Year , use only day and mount number

(ex.: 23.11 = 2010.november 23.)day.mount.year Total date format (ex.: 23.11.2001. = 2010. november 23.)

How to use the [Help] windows

Any input fields on program Forms , if the [Help] is blinking on top of screen , then

available a special user help for this input options . The contents of Help options always a

selection for actual data input scrolling data .

In [Help] windows use the following options :

•cursor moving : Home , End , PgUp , PgDn , Up-Down

•item search and automatic positioning : If order of data is possible

use normal ComboBox methors

CaIS_3.1 Win32 (Windows) Runtime Client

All modules/forms of CaIS system possible use two different Runtime mode . The basic mode is TelNet communication runtime mode with normal character based application . The alternate Runtime mode is Windows 32bit client support . The options of applications same on two diferent Runtime mode , only user interaction and screen format is diferent .The function keys for action is same order as TelNet mode , exit from forms use F10 or Esc keys . In Telnet mode end of Froms use the (Set) field for adta sending to database ; in windows32 bit mode this options is a SetButton the operation is same .

Login to CaIS system :For login to system need type a Username and secret mode type the user Password . When login is correct the system will checking the user permission (menu and application Froms ) and loading the user menu .

The default menu system of CaISCaIS ®® system :

Default screen resolution is 1024x768 , the minimum resolution size is 800x600 need for

normal operations.

The grafical backgroung loading from : ..\Images subdirectory CAIS.JPG file .Supported operation system : WindowsNT , WindowsME , Windows2000, Windows XP , Windows 7/XPmode , Ubuntu-Linux (with OLEreporters) Special version : Windows CE Unsupported systems : Windows9x (Windows95, Windows98, Windows98SE)

In this utility possible define new CaIS user and mange the exits user permission . Every user attached the language environment , and starting menu program .If create a new user without permission , please use the F5 function key , for all submenu access denied . Next step enable the user selected menu options ...

1.2. CaIS MENU PERMISSION

After define the user , and select menu or submenu , possible enable/disable switch the selected menu position . In the DENIED field type a “*” character , DISABLED this menu point , if this field is empty ENABLED this menu point .For save this settings , type a POS field “0” , and press Enter on SET button .

1.3. CaIS FORM PERMISSION

This program define the user special permission to program forms . The default permission is full control . If need access denied any fields of form or any function keys of form , then select the fields/f.key and type “*” for denied .The settings will save when press enter on SET button .

1.4. CaIS NATIONAL LANGUAGE SUPPORT

This program define the translated forms strings . Select the from language and to language and select a text field from form . If in the CaIS dictionary exist the words , then automatically translated the string ; or type the words on destination language .

1.5. CaIS ENTERPRISE REPORTAll Forms function keys attached a program/function action ; if this action is a list/query , then CaIS will be load the Reporter utility *win32 mode = Rave Reportviewer , Ubuntu-Linux = OLE Reporter , Telnet = LSTGEN *

If defined a different language report head and structure , then program will use the user attached language version .Note.: all language definition *form text , report head , etc... * important the length of strings same like with source language version !!!

1.6. CaIS DICTIONARY DATABASE

This program a simple dictionary database source and destination database . This dictionary database is opened license from internet base (no copyright) .

1.7. CaIS FORM for SCALE SYSTEM

The industrial scale terminal (UMT) communication protocol it is different as TelNet mode . This special protocol use this database for language message selection on Terminal.
