ON2017•2018

Symphony on the Bay is a full-size community orchestra serving Burlington, Hamilton, and the surrounding areas. We perform in the magnificent Burlington Performing Arts Centre in downtown Burlington. Our vision is to demystify classical music and make this great art form accessible. Our musicians—highly skilled amateurs, students, and professional players—feel privileged to share this great music with the communities we live and work in.

We are excited about the music and the talent that we will be showcasing this year! From the richness of the orchestrations to the artistry of our soloists, each concert will be a treat! Our annual Young Artists’ Competition is currently underway, and the winners will be featured in the second part of the season, in 2018. Stay tuned for more details!

“Versatile” completely captures the essence of the season this year. From lush strings to lyrical winds to resounding brass, the instruments take turns proclaiming joy, grief, anger, reflection…reaching out to connect us to the majesty and resilience of the human spirit.

Please join us for the coming season, and let us share that magic with you.
