Matching Your Project Needs

Probes are based on one of two basic architectures: PC or Smartphone. All probes support a range of referenced and non referenced quality measurement algorithms.

Each network quality measurement project has its own set of needs. Evolution probes can be used individually or in combination to meet those needs. These probes can be used in conjunction with common measurement devices, quality assessment modules and analysis software from the Evolution system. This gives great economies of both scope and scale.

Diversity

The Diversity range of probes is based on PC architecture. A key design principal has been that all measurements should be performed in an environment that matches an end customer’s experience as closely as possible

This means that channels should operate independently from one another. Each channel should have its own dedicated and predictable processing power and hard disk I/O performance. Otherwise the measurements being made on one channel might indirectly interfere with measurements being made on another.

To get as close as possible to the typical customer experience ,a standard PC Microsoft Windows® operating system is also used.

Diversity Benchmarker

Diversity Benchmarker offers the ultimate in measurement accuracy and reliability. It is ideal for network benchmarking and for optimisation testing on multiple technologies..

SYSTEM RElIABIlITYDiversity Benchmarker is designed to deliver the greatest possible reliability, minimising system down time.

Built in shock mounts allow Diversity Benchmarker to survive up to 50G of shock. This, combined with the use of robust, military standard, connectors, means that Diversity Benchmarker can be used on the roughest of roads. System temperature control also allows operation from as low as -10 degrees C to +50 degrees. Diversity Benchmarker has been thoroughly tested and conforms to leading industry standards for EMC, Safety, Automotive, Shock and Vibration.

SYSTEM USABIlITYDiversity Benchmarker is also designed to be as easy to deploy and use as possible. Fast start up and single button system activation, minimises the overhead in getting the system running. A unique remote data card reset also removes the need for system power down in the event of data cards hanging up for any reason.Diversity Benchmarker features a unique data filtering system which allows you to decide exactly what data you want to capture, forward and store. This increases effective system availability and reduces the costs involved in data handling.

Diversity Benchmarker has a modular HW architecture that provides up to eight voice and eight data channels for simultaneous use. Various types of measurement devices including phones, data modems and RF scanners can be attached securely to the same frame.

This flexibility makes Diversity Benchmarker ideal for a wide range of applications including voice, data, browsing, messaging, video, mobile TV and video telephony testing.

ACCURACY

Diversity Benchmarker has been built to provide the ultimate in measurement accuracy and reliability.

Each channel has a dedicated PC processor. This ensures that there is no possibility of cross channel interference. For example, downloading data on one channel cannot affect the measured download speed on another.

Diversity Benchmarker is equipped with unique active cooling and heating. This avoids blowing air over circuit boards and reduces the possibility of thermally induced errors in to the system. It also employs a unique method of system powering from the vehicle supply which eliminates the possibility of interference.

Diversity Unattended

Diversity Q is a general purpose testing system based upon a laptop personal computer. It uses a unique system to provide dedicated “virtual” processors for each measurement channel. This minimises the chance of device driver conflicts and cross channel interference.

Diversity Q can operate with up to four test measurement units. In addition to voice, video, and data testing, Diversity Q offers multi channel web browsing testing.

Unlike some single laptop PC based solutions, Diversity Q has no test configuration limitations for data tests and all channels engaged in testing can be connected to the same server and download the same files.

Diversity Q is available with a transportation case and also in a backpack for walk testing applications.

Diversity Unattended is a self contained, fully unattended probe. Completely remotely controlled it is designed to be deployed in vehicles such as taxis, buses and so on which are moving around the

network on a continuous basis. In addition to the high environmental specifications of the Diversity Benchmarker, it also uses solid state data storage for maximum reliability.

Diversity Unattended is fitted with a single voice and data testing channel plus a dedicated separate channel for control and for downloading data. It can also be fitted with a scanner or additional test device.

Diversity Q

Diversity Optimizer Diversity Optimizer is an RF optimization tool for mobile networks offering a portable solution based on the Diversity software platform.

The user interface helps the operator to analyse all relevant and critical network parameters and events.

Diversity Optimizer can operate up two phones, one data device and one RF scanner simultaneously. These can be quickly configured to carry out a variety of tests.

QualiPocQualiPoc offers a powerful, flexible and cost-effective solution for wireless service monitoring, unattended network optimization and benchmarking. It runs on industry-standard smart phones and supports quality of service (QoS) testing for wireless voice, data, browsing, messaging and video services.

QualiPoc Handheld is a quality of service device having service-quality assessment capabilities with integrated access to radio network parameters and messages, and service-quality assessment capabilities. The testing device provides the user with instant feedback on service quality and network performance. QualiPoc Handheld offers complete Optimizer Toolbox and QoS testing “in your hand”. QualiPoc uses a unique approach to a meet a variety of wireless network testing needs. By loading test applications on commercially available smart phones, QualiPoc offers a low cost alternative for drive testing and service monitoring. A powerful and flexible test environment supports a broad range of test applications. When upgraded with a trace flash, QualiPoc can be used for further network optimization needs.

Service providers can obtain instant feedback on KPIs for network and service quality. By using commercially available phones, the cost of QoS testing is reduced as no additional hardware or dedicated engineering mobile devices are needed. QualiPoc offers several modes of operations to meet the demands of a broad range of network configurations. Automatic mode uses a central Test Manager to remotely control and manage test campaigns as well as the QualiPoc probes. QualiPoc also operates in semi-automatic mode and provides instant feedback on service quality and performance.

For unattended drive testing and benchmarking, QualiPoc monitors the network while securely mounted in public transportation systems like taxicabs or buses.

QualiPoc Handheld

QualiPoc iQ QualiPoc iQ offers high quality graphic displays and a direct insight to the network quality experienced by users of the Apple iPhone™.

QualiWatch M QualiWatch-M extends the functionality of our QualiPoc family of smart phone solutions to include unattended drive testing and benchmarking. It operates as a single-unit drive test solution installed in taxis, buses and motorbikes. QualiWatch also performs benchmarking of service quality as a cascaded system. The QualiWatch housing has an embedded GPS and a programmable controller board that provides battery emulation and a monitoring capability. This controller board constantly monitors the smart phone for an “alive signal” from the QualiPoc agent. The controller will automatically reboot the phone if no signal or an invalid signal is received.

QualiWatch S QualiWatch-S is a smart-phone based static service monitoring system. QualiWatch-S extends the functionality of the QualiPoc family of products to unattended network monitoring in offices, hotspots and other indoor locations. QualiPoc-S includes a specially designed housing that contains the smart phone and controller board. The controller board constantly monitors the phone for an “Alive Signal” and reboots the phone if no signal or an invalid signal is received. A window in the housing allows an easy view of the phone’s display.
