On a sadder note, we lost a four legged member of our store family this summer. Duffy, the smallest and oldest of our three quilt store dogs left us for that quilt store in the sky. She had lived a great life, well beyond her life expectancy. But none of that, as we know, makes it easy to lose a loved one. We will miss her forever. We have an award winning quilter in our store (no, not Bonnie). Our Millennium long arm quilting machine, which we christened Ruby when she arrived in July, 2007, garnered a blue ribbon at a recent Salt Spring fair for “Best Machine Quilting”. We are proud that our customers are so satisfied with the quilting that is done by Ruby that they will enter their projects in competition. Good news obviously travels since our periodic long arm quilting sales have enabled our quilters to take some of those quilt tops out of their stash and get them quilted. We continue to offer a two week turnaround, and are constantly expanding our selection of quilting patterns. LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION? We are always asked, “how many quilts do you have on display”, s o we counted. We have OVER 50 quil ts and too many to count special projects to inspire qu ilters of all skill levels.
