• Pre-schools, primary and secondary schools, universities and adult education
• To strengthen, broaden and supplement • Focus on purely educational programs• Serve functionally impaired, linguistic and ethnic

Media education and media literacy-a long tradition at UR
• 1960 --- Erling Ericsson animation box. Workshops with children and teachers
• Tv-programmes about and including young peoples productions
• Producing children's own stories
• Digital storytelling and radio productions by children and youth
• Education Forum – learn how to produce your own TV or radio program
• Teachers training – material, different subjects and how to use media in the classroom
Challenges for UR-the new media landscape
• From push to pull - the users decide • Producing and sharing yourself - from
consumer to “prosumer”• Range of video content increases - Public
Service Broadcast is far from first choice for young people
• Increase of the supply of digital learning resources
• UR has to respond to all this. Be useful for children, youth, parents, teachers.
The broad approach…
• Planning the context scenario • Awareness of format and content • Cooperation • Professional advisors • Dialog – before, during and after producing • Broadcasting, distribution and accessibility
(TV, radio, web, books…)• Educational support
… makes it possible to focus on sensitive issues
Picture
Invisible Wounds -a special focus on children at risk
• Unique series especially created both about and for children at risk
• The series seeks to convey the importance of daring to speak up
• Address children directly• Treat subjects such as physical- and sexual abuse and
living with mentally ill parent• 3 programmes for six to nine years old, 3 programmes
for nine to twelve years old

The Project Rum för Berättande? (Room for personal storytelling)
• The idea behind the project “Rum för Berättande” is to use the method “digital storytelling” to research, develop and increase the possibilities to express and share your stories with others. We also want to make the personal storytelling useful in different pedagogical environments.
• Digital storytelling is a method where many different organisations can cooperate. Ex Swedish for immigrants and The Swedish Disability Federation
