Hello Everyone. It’s

been quite a while since

our last newsletter.

Apologies, but we have

had a lot going on, not

just in this office but in the building in

general.

Swan Valley RISE is here, as they are

now housed inside the Swan Valley

Chamber of Commerce Building. Dur-

ing the start of the new year, Northern

Specialties constructed a new office in

the Chamber building, and on March 1,

2016, SV RISE moved in. Welcome to

Heather Nielsen of SV RISE. We are

looking forward to working with you.

We have a full slate of Directors! Wel-

come aboard to our newest directors:

Jason Eisner, Kyle Machan, Johnny

Wintoniw, and Shane Unruh. This

group will be referred to often as the

“young guns”. We are looking forward

to their ideas and participation.

Thank you to outgoing directors

Brian Gilroy and Bev Potten.

Both Brian and Bev have served

on the Chamber board for a nice

long time, and both felt it was time

to step down and make room for

our new board members. We ap-

preciate all that both Brian and

Bev have done for the Chamber

and the community. We know we

will still work with both of them a

bunch!

Thank you to outgoing President,

Heather Nielsen. There is no ques-

tion that your efforts have created

the interest from the business

community that garnered our new

directors and increased attendance

at our functions. We look forward

to continuing to work with you

under RISE.

Welcome back to President Nao-

mi Neufeld. Naomi has graciously

agreed to a one year term, to help

mentor our soon to be named

Vice President, and guide us

through getting to know the

feisty new “Young Guns”.

Look for the newest Chamber

Directories coming your way

soon. Businesses receive two

copies of the 11 X 17 lists,

and residential mailboxes will

receive the 8.5x14 copies.

There are at least 9 new mem-

ber numbers on the lists, all of

which we believe will be wel-

come and useful to you.

As we move into spring &

summer, please get out there

and enjoy all the scenery and

beauty this fabulous Valley

has to offer.

Have a happy spring!
