Happy New Year!
Welcome back to school! It is the start of the Spring term
and although we are still in the throes of winter weather,
the days will gradually become lighter and lighter. Just as
our academic progress will become brighter and brighter
as the term develops.
Our theme for this
week is…
Respect
Year 5 and 6 Winter Festival
Year 6 kicked off the Winter Festival with some
rousing and melodious Christmas Carols. Year
5 students put on a fantastic dramatic display
of acting and singing. The students played a
pivotal part in putting together and directing
their scenes. Well done to all involved, it was a
wonderful show and very enjoyable to watch!
Special thanks go to Mr Thomas for organising
the event with the support of Mr Owens, Mrs
Kakkad, Mr Roberts and Miss Hodgson and Mr
Bell. Thank you for all their hard work in pre-
paring the performance.
Public Speaking Tips
Every week this term, we will be
offering helpful tips for students’ to
use in order to improve their Public
Speaking skills. Public Speaking is a
valuable life skill that is best taught
at a young age and it is a skill we like
to help train here at the Swaminara-
yan School. Stay tuned...
Enrichment Day
Thursday 11th December was our first Enrichment Day for the school year.
Our theme was Africa, where students took part in activities such as African
drumming and singing songs. A big thank you to Mr Wildman and Mrs Rana
for organising the day.
