A&E has a goal of improving energy efficiency by 20% at all facilities by January 1, 2012.
A&E has a goal of reducing the overall amount of packaging on its products by 5% by January 1, 2013.
A&E has a goal of Zero Waste generated by its facilities in the US by December 31, 2012. All global A&E operations are required to achieve the Zero Waste goal.
Implement best practices in order to drive improvements in recycling and source reduction.
A&E is continuing to research and develop sustainable thread products.

• Continue to support and implement the Global Code of Conduct and the EHS organization and program.
• Third-party Social Responsibility and Environmental audits were completed at all our Asian operations in early 2010.
• Continue to avoid or reduce usage of any chemicals that are banned or restricted on the AAFA Restricted Substances List (RSL).
A&E is engaging its suppliers and customers to drive waste out of the supply chain. A best practices document is being developed in order to share knowledge.
Several A&E products are certified under the Oeko-Tex program. A&E has developed best practices and shares knowledge across the company in order to ensure that restricted substances do not become part of the company’s products.
Add environmental and sustainability issues to monthly training modules at each facility for all employees.
A&E has developed a Corporate Green Team as well as Green Teams at each facility, charged with implementing the Eco-Driven program and the 10 Threads of Sustainability at each facility and throughout the business. Employees are encouraged to be active participants in the Sustainability program at A&E.
